    Can atheists be happy?

They can definitely be happy and content. They can have happy moments and overcome adversity too. But the thing is that they have that feeling of “who am I, what am I doing here, what is my purpose” just like anyone else. And for them there is no answer, there is no comfort or certainty.

As a Christian, is it really so wrong to want to stay away from people?

I think the only thing is that when we live totally alone, we can’t witness to people that way. We can’t invest in people when we’re not around them. And as you said I have no idea what you’ve gone through or what things have happened in life to cause this, but that’s all I can think of...

    Friend’s family health in trouble

So my friend’s mother is the main breadwinner of the family, and she recently had a nasty fall onto her shoulder. Once it was checked, my friend found that her mother had 5 tears in her rotary cuff. There is a possibility that her mother may not be able to return to nursing duty, and while...

    CPAP breathing issues

So I just got a CPAP machine and tried using it yesterday, only to find this morning that I was pretty much entirely out of breath when I woke up. It’s like I couldn’t breathe out properly despite only having had used it for about 4 hours. Prayer for breathing right would be awesome.

    Childhood Toys

I had so many as a kid! Barbies I remember of course, but it seemed like the ones that I remember most were super weird.

    Wilderness Survival

Honestly I’d like to learn some of those skills too. I’m in Arizona so I’d need to specifically find stuff for surviving in the desert.

    Mom and Pops

Oh my gosh I had a “I sound like my mother” moment when I was driving home from work. One thing I’ve always had exasperation from is when mom makes comments about other people not obeying the traffic laws. “It’s none of our business,” I’d always think under a sigh. But in this situation I was...

    Are you a good listener/reader?

I’m a good reader in that I have a nice voice and “presence” when reading. I kinda unintentionally ham it up by sounding a little bit like a narrator from a book on tape. As far as listening? That can be more contested as not so good. I tend to get good details on things that I can relate...

Will Christian Chat be labeled a Hate Group?

Man I hope not. I mean you can’t help what the government does to this site or any other, but all we can do is trust and continue to follow what God says.

    Dating web-sites?

Yup, this has been some reasons even for a relationship not to start for me. Even on sites where they focus on “matchmaking algorithms” that are supposedly made for getting couples together no matter what. I need to find someone local I guess....or at least someone within Arizona.

With So Many "Fish in the Sea", How Many Should Someone be Baiting at Once?

I think it depends on your intent. Sending a wave or a smile to 10 people with the possibility of like maybe 3 even returning any message? That’s understandable. But say you have a date with one guy Tuesday and another guy Thursday? Ehhhh....not sure I quite agree. Though I may be a bit old...

    WHY VIDEO GAMES?

Yup! I’m still at the age where u care about people’s perception of “being too old” for certain things, while at the same time not being young enough to be a closet fan. Nah man if I’m 30 and I wanna play Pokémon I’m playing Pokémon.

    Desire fear?

I really don’t know. I know to some people it’s an adrenaline rush, fighting the fight or flight reaction that one has when they’re scared. Some also may find it as a challenge. They can say “Pff, it’s not THAT scary.” Also some people watch them ironically for how bad the actual storyline...

coping skills for obsessive-compulsive and anxiety disorders

Yup, OCD and anxiety here as well. I notice that if I talk to someone about my problems, they become far less powerful. When I have a thought or fear, all it takes sometimes is hearing my own self explain it to say “Wow that sounds COMPLETELY ridiculous why am I even freaking out about...

    To Sir with Love

Absolutely. I always geek out when I can about my awesome English teacher from elementary school. Mr. Winner is his name (if he happens to still be alive), and he was quite honestly the most odd man I had ever teach me. And he was amazing for it. We were 12 years old and he was quoting...

How do you talk to your LGBT friends about Jesus?

*Sighs* Sadly that tends to be a big tightrope to walk. It’s trying to show the person that you care about them and God loves them, even though He doesn’t approve of his lifestyle. All I can think of is be compassionate. Be straightforward. You’re telling them about your faith because you...
