Does God want us to choose between law and grace?

Sort of. I am taking a position to it's logical absurdity. So we both agree that you cannot believe in Jesus Christ and be baptized by the Holy Spirit and are saved in Eternal Life, and then turn and murder for any reason, and expect to have Eternal Life. Am I right?

Does God want us to choose between law and grace?

Is it true that these people in Revelation 21 will be consigned to the fiery lake of burning sulfur even if they at one time were believers in Jesus Christ and received the baptism of the Holy Spirit and were saved for Eternal Life, but then turned into one described in Revelations 21?

Does God want us to choose between law and grace?

How much of the old Law has been done away? For instance some people do not go to church on Sunday because they think the Sabbath day worship has been done away with. Some people think they can do whatever they wish, even murder if they needed to because they are under grace and will be...

Does God want us to choose between law and grace?

I believe the Law of Moses has been replaced by the Law of Christ. So is it OK for you to murder since we are under grace and Jesus will forgive us immediately for this murder and save us into Eternal Life?

Does God want us to choose between law and grace?

So I ask you the same question. If we believe in Christ and have the baptism of the Holy Spirit, and are saved, can we murder someone and will Chirst forgive us and save us still?

Does God want us to choose between law and grace?

If the law of Moses is set aside, does that mean we can murder and Jesus will still save us?

    Not By Works

You state that MOST of the protestant denominations believe in OSAS. So not all apparently. So if not even all protestant denominations believe in OSAS, how can you possibly say, "your gospel is as fake as a 3 dollar bill and EVERYONE KNOWS IT". Obviously everyone does not know it, except...

    Not By Works

    1. Who is the vine? Jesus 2. What does "take away" mean? You are cut off from the vine/Jesus and burned as stuble. IOW you lose your salvation. 3. What does "abide" mean? It means to be with Christ. IOW to do those things that Jesus does, so that he will abide with you. If you...

    Not By Works

Don't be putting words in the church's mouth. There are thousands of Christian churches that teach many ways to be saved. Your particular church chooses the OSAS way. Many, many other Christian churches do not. Just look at this forum for my proof.

Baptism Debate - who did the best job?

It is common knowledge that Jesus, when he went to be baptized, told John, who hesitated to baptize a perfect person, that he (Jesus) needed to be baptized to fulfill all righteousness. (Matthew 3:15) So if a perfect person feels like he needs to be baptized to fulfill all righteousness for...

Baptism Debate - who did the best job?

Since you say that baptism does not save, then you are in the 1/2 that do not believe that baptism is essential to our salvation. If you do not reach that significant spiritual marker, because you do not get baptized, do you feel that will hamper your salvation? Confess with your mouth the...

    Following Paul To Follow Christ

So if we do not see these works/deeds, we can know that this man is not justified before God. I agree with you. To say that we must view Jesus's words in the light of this truth, you are preaching the doctrine of "rightly dividing the Word of God". We divide out the words of Jesus because he...

Trusting in His authority is so liberating...Thank You Lord.

Now that Jesus has taken over the drivers seat, do you no longer fall? The implication is, that if you are still falling, it is Jesus that is driving you to fall. It is Jesus that is driving you to do good. Driving you to fall again. Do you see what I mean? I feel like I have been saved...

Baptism Debate - who did the best job?

This debate only highlights the difficulty that we as Christians have to endure. 1/2 of us feel that the bible teaches that we must be water baptized to be saved. 1/2 of us feel the bible teaches it is unneccesary to be water baptized in order to be saved. Which one is the right path? Both...

    Funny stories in the Bible

This is off topic, but you seem real knowledgeable about the lexicon and finding out what words mean. Could you help with the word (Word) in John 1:1. In the beginning was the "Word". What does your lexicon say about this word. If you can help, thank you. If you cannot help, thank you...

    Justification

I did not mean this. The race was an analogy. Tell me what words I said conjured up that flesh/body can effect God's workmanship? We are talking about which of the person in the parable of the sower that were saved before they fell away.

    Justification

I can use this scripture to buttress my interpretation, so here it is: Matthew 13:19-23 King James Version (KJV) 19 When any one heareth the word of the kingdom, and understandeth it not, then cometh the wicked one, and catcheth away that which was sown in his heart. This is he which received...

    Justification

The only way you can reconcile OSAS with the parable of the sower is to think the first 2 examples are for unbelievers. That is not true, they are believers, but with shallow commitments, and so loose whatever belief they had. I believe that being saved is a long process that one establishes...
