    Church Doctrine VS. God's Word

Lutherans do not see baptism or the Eucharist or any of the sacraments the same way the Romanists do. Harken back to the reformation and read what was written. Luther and Melanchthon wrote prolific volumes. I will not argue them with someone who dont even believe what os written scripture.

    Church Doctrine VS. God's Word

Dont forget that the Lors chastises who he loves. And when we sin we receive that chastisement. So its possible that we may take many or few stripes in this life as the Lord corrects us and drives us to repentance when ever we sin. Not that it is what that particular passage of scripture is...

    Psalms

At my church each Sunday we sing a psalm set to the tune of a hymn. A different psalm each week. I love it. There is also a guy I listen to who sings the psalms acapella more like a chant but I find it to be a beautiful thing. I need to reincorporate that into my morning worship again.

    Psalms

I was only referring to the subject of certain psalms seemingly contradicting Jesus. Not the whole matter of Christianity. But scripture is not a closed book. When read and heard, the Holy Spirit inhabits those words and make them alive and effective.

    Christians against Christian Nationalism

If we are going to have Christian nationalism, it should be Lutheran. We can change the flag to the rose of Sharon and the National moto will be "the peace of the Lord be with you always" and the National anthem will be "mighty fortress" by Martin Luther. All public officials will wear a...

    Psalms

They are the Psalmist asking God for justice. For the delivery of the wicked over to God for his judgement. Rather than taking things into his own hands.

    Psalms

They are not contrary to the teaching of Christ. Turning our enemies over to God for him to deal with is exactly according to Jesus. We dont take things into our hands but deliver them over to God. Jesus said for us to pray "deliver us from evil".

    Psalms

Even the imprecatory Psalms are useful models of prayer. We have an enemy of our soul and we have enemies of the faith and we. Have oppressors and we have our own flesh as an oppressor.
