Can the nonelect ever be born-again? (2 Kings 22:27) With the elect thou wilt be elect: and with the perverse thou wilt be perverted.

From what I have read of your posts, I agree with. Here is another verse that affirms that God does not change. Mal 3:6.

Can the nonelect ever be born-again? (2 Kings 22:27) With the elect thou wilt be elect: and with the perverse thou wilt be perverted.

So you are saying that the second coming of Christ to gather his elect is not in the context of salvation?

Can the nonelect ever be born-again? (2 Kings 22:27) With the elect thou wilt be elect: and with the perverse thou wilt be perverted.

You are replying to my post which explains the steps of being adopted as God's children. To my knowledge of the scriptures, the adopted children's final process is when he comes back and gathers his elect (Matt 24:31). Who are God's elect? Elect=picked out, chosen=Jacob whose surname is...

    Predestination is misunderstood...

Why is it that you always make comments, but never reference any scriptures to prove your comments?

    Predestination is misunderstood...

Yes, some of those who teach, talk a good talk, but do not walk a good walk. We must talk a good talk, but also walk a good walk. Actions speak louder than words. The remnant are the ones who find the strait gate. Zeph 3:11-13, the rest of spiritual Israel were blinded, by God, to know the...

The comments you have stated, without scripture reference, are pertaining to those who have already been born again spiritually (Rom 1)

    No other doctrine Bible study

1 Tim 1-2 - Paul left Timothy at the church in Ephesus to charge some in the church that they should teach no other doctrine (1 Tim 1:3) Paul further instructed Timothy to pray for all men that are in authority over the laws of the city of Ephesus, that the church may lead a quite and peaceful...

The adoption process; (1) The Father chooses the child (Eph 1:4). (2) The price is paid for the adoption (John 37-40). (3) The Father brings them home (Matt 25:31-34).

    Predestination is misunderstood...

I believe the scriptures teach that if a person believes and worships God, they are born again, but have no knowledge of Christ's doctrine. these are the ones that enter into the wide gate. You are correct in saying that they teach false doctrines, due to their lack of knowledge. They are...

    Predestination is misunderstood...

If there is a contradiction in the scriptures, then you are not interpreting the scripture correctly. They must all harmonize. God's elect are his sheep, and only his sheep can hear and understand him (John 10:26-29).

That just tells me that you are not reading from the KJV. But the natural man receiverh not the things of the Spirit of God, neither can he know them.

Does Christ "dying for our sins" mean that Jesus was punished for our sins?

We have to be careful to not apply all of the salvation scriptures to eternal salvation, if we do, they will teach us that eternal salvation can be achieved by our good works, and that is a false doctrine. Salvation=deliverance, according to Strong's concordance. Most of the salvation...

    Predestination is misunderstood...

Yes, but the difference in the natural man, and the born again, is that the natural man cannot receive the things of the Spirit. (1 Cor 2:14)

Just to clarify things, are you claiming that I am mentally ill? Are you implying "the few that find it" are finding eternal life?

Does Christ "dying for our sins" mean that Jesus was punished for our sins?

In my understanding of the scriptures, with the determination to make them harmonize, is that there will be many more that go to heaven, than there are that go to hell. If you will bear with me, I will explain why I think that. Spiritual Israel, which is made up of every kindred, and tongue...

Does Christ "dying for our sins" mean that Jesus was punished for our sins?

Those that he died for, which were only those that his Father gave him (John 6:37-39) have the promise of eternal life in heaven, however, at times, they still are tempted and lust after the things of the world

Does Christ "dying for our sins" mean that Jesus was punished for our sins?

Repenting and believing are works performed by those that Jesus died for (those that his Father gave him) to redeem them from their sins as they live their lives here on earth, and has nothing to do with their eternal salvation

What world is under consideration? There is a world of believers, and there is a world of non-believers.

    Predestination is misunderstood...

Here is what God foreknew; Psalms 53:2-3 - God looked down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there were any that did understand, that did seek God. Every one of them is gone back, they are altogether become filthy; there is none that doeth good, no, not one.

    Predestination is misunderstood...

The fact that we have been born again, does not mean that we do not still carry the burden of our fleshly nature. This is why those who have been born again, do at times, lust after the things of the world (Gal 5:13).
