    Ughhh

OCD, no doubt, makes this much harder for you to discern. You must know that posting here may not clear things up as you will have opposing views on this. Despite not having OCD (but I can have perfectionist tendencies) I have dealt with similar issues. I never really came to a clear answer. I...

    Healing from Toxic Friends

Sounds like you're better off without such people in your life. I have to wonder how much they really were friends to turn on you so easily. As far as finding new friends, perhaps don't be in a rush. Building any kind of serious friendship takes time, not to mention finding someone you click...

    Men-Only Forum

Or the regular influx of men on this site seeking help for this problem. Or the statistics of porn addiction within the church. I'm not sure about the need to throw baseless accusations at people for merely making a suggestion. And "if" he were to have a problem of his own and wishing to...

When to let go-when to hold on?

Great to hear. So few ever consider that need for their kids. Or some just aren't able. No doubt it's a struggle but it sounds like you're doing well for yourself. Perhaps better than you realize.

Too? Who else is gone? Well at least Judy won't retire broke. She made $145 million last year, for two months work.

Not a Judy fan myself. More of a Judge Milian fan myself. And I watch a lot of YouTube too.

You didn't like COPS? It's still on, dont worry. ;) I live in a cop show house. Everyone here watches cop and/or prison shows. Could be due to our dad being a former cop and and also a former corrections officer at prisons.

    Streams of Consciousness & Thoughts~~~

I made numerous bad relationship decisions when I was younger. I spent years beating myself up over them. Feeling I'd betrayed myself and God. The guilt was constant. But, over time, it eased up. It's no longer something I stress about all the time and when I do think about it I'm not strongly...

If Your Mother Picked Your Spouse...

Oh. My mom pushed me towards every half good looking chick we came across. She even set me up on a date with a coworkers daughter when I was 14. We had nothing in common other than neither wanting to be there. Or a time we were shopping when I was a teen and the cashier seemed to get extra shy...

Why won't guys make a move?

I love how my asking someone to prove their claims was met with "disagree" responses. makes zero sense. *knocks the dust off his feet

When to let go-when to hold on?

If your kids are old enough to have memories of his behavior it may be worth it to get them a little counseling, if possible. Both to help cope with their dad leaving as well as an outside influence speaking against his behavior.

Why won't guys make a move?

It seems, by the responses to my post, people here can't distinguish between the concepts contentedly single vs the impatience and self punishment many singles inflict on themselves, causing them to waste years of their lives. I clearly was talking specifically about the second group. Why do i...

Why won't guys make a move?

~So God's plans don't work out? Is there a scripture for that? ~God's plan is for everyone to marry? How about a scripture for that? And, no, the story of Creation is not scriptural evidence. ~Actually a Lot of people suggest marriage is superior. Having been on this site for a long time i've...

When to let go-when to hold on?

Also with kids involved, it's especially good. They can grow to repeat his behavior if he's around. With him gone that poor example of what a 'man/husband/father' is is gone as well.

    Relationship

I have found dating people online to he easier. There's not a lot to do but talk and communicate. Whereas in person people are more prone to activities that distract from communication (movies for example). Of course if you have no means to eventually meet in person then it does seem rather...

When to let go-when to hold on?

I always encourage people to abandon abusive relationships. The abuser rarely changes, so holding on to that idea is a bigger miracle than you realize. Especially in light of free will. I suspect the bigger issue, for you, is less about "loving" him and more about the idea of saving something...
