    Welcome to the Official CC Valentine's B.Y.O.V. Thread! (B.e Y.our O.wn V.alentine!!)

I'm not really phased by it when single. Maybe a little when I was younger, but not really now. I find it more difficult to deal with when dating. If dating someone I want to take it (and their birthday and even Xmas) behind the day to day things I may say or do. Unfortunately I'm not good at...

What is the Difference Between "Standards" and "Shallowness"?

I've never compared a gf to my mom. In fact I find the idea off putting. Also never known anyone else to have done this, either.

What is the Difference Between "Standards" and "Shallowness"?

Let's not forget it's also feasible to not give a reason. There's no real obligation to tell people why, under most circumstances.

Come One, Come All... It's Time for An Official CC Roll Call!!

    1) Sub is fine. 2) At home I have these thin cotton pants with a tie front. Those and a tshirt. Usually black, blank. Often a hoodie as well. When out usually green or gold carpenter pants. Band tshirts. A chain wallet with a long dragon claw chain and a leather zombie wallet. Vans. And my...

Why are women in the church judged for being hypergamous?

No worries. 🙂 I don't believe it's about her not being upfront. More of simplifying the message to be more clear is what I mean.

What is the Difference Between "Standards" and "Shallowness"?

I think top priorities are obviously important. Religious beliefs, political beliefs, how to raise children, having children or not, will both work or just one, etc... things like these are important to know about yourself and what you do or don't want. Then there's another tier that is more...

Who Have You met that you are proud of?

Not really proud of meeting anyone. I met Stephen Baldwin once, in all places, a Walmart. This was during his phase of calling himself a Christian and having a traveling extreme sports ministry. I was calm and chill as meeting celebrities doesn't excitement like some others. I approached him to...

Why are women in the church judged for being hypergamous?

My point was saying to match her income may lead someone to think she'll continue working. And that the alternate way I suggested wording it may come across better. At no point did I say it was wrong to want to change to a part time job later. Just to be more clear about what she's looking for.

Why are women in the church judged for being hypergamous?

Giving it more thought there's a problem the OP is missing. She wants a man to match her income, but then plans on quitting and making a fraction of that. This may not sit well with many men. The idea she expects equal salaries suggests she'll continue working. Really what she's done is what...

Why are women in the church judged for being hypergamous?

Not wrong, no. The women I'm referring to want men 6ft+ tall, iPhone user (yes, that is a qualification for them), 6 figure salaries 100k or more engagement rings. And they want to stay home and 'do nothing' all day. But if they do decide to work all the money she makes is her money. While his...

    Chat app

When I first joined, before the app, I found the chats bitter sweet. Sometimes things went well, but often times there would be a clique dominating the room and mic. And they were usually jerks. But there were some good people in there as well, if you had the patience to wait to stumble across them.

How Often Does a Woman Expect a Man with a "Good Salary" to Actually Be Home?

I don't believe I've ever, personally, known anyone that made good money. So in that regard I can't comment. I know many of my comments on these subjects refer to women expecting high salaries, etc... But I find these to be shallow, self centered feminist types that I've been referencing. I...

Why are women in the church judged for being hypergamous?

I think the basis of this issue is that it has become more and more common for women to expect insanely high salaries out of men. Even men in their 20s. Though you may not be requiring this it's possible that's what the man hears because that's what he's used to hearing.

    Microchipping

I'd say about twice a year we get posts like this.

Might a believer experience depression? (Don't be hasty in your response)

Of course they can. As pointed out above, it's mental or physical. Our minds and bodies are frail and imperfect.

    Chat app

Not heard a thing about it being rebuilt. There's an off site link to the last version, from years ago. But it doesn't always work. Also not sure whether it's pc, android or Apple. But the app seems to go down frequently.

    HI EVERYONE!

This is not a Catholic site, so you won't find many Catholics. Many, if not most, on here opposse Catholicism, some quite vehemently. Does this mean you're seeking financial help?

Is putting someone on Ignore, really ignoring them?

To ignore people whose posts I don't want to see? The purpose of it? I got a thumbs down for using it? Seriously. 🙄 If you don't use it why are you complaining about how it works?

    Movies

Disney movies have become equated to being flops, anymore. Their movies focus more on pushing woke agendas than entertainment. This is how they managed to ruin multiple franchises like Star Wars and the MCU. Their movies lose money now. Literally. And their use of transvestites at their theme...

    The Chosen

All caps is considered yelling. Has been that way for at least 30 years. Typing in a bigger font, is not. Though I agree with you using a bigger font doesn't sway anyone's mind, either. And you can change their font manually, when quoting, if you want to use the time and effort. But seems pointless.
