    Christian Metal

Geeks and nerds argue those differences. Metal heads argue genre. And techies argue Windows and Linux and Apple. Christians argue denomination and theology. I could go on. But one thing remains the same amongst them all. People get real uptight about their view and lambast opposing views...

    Christian Metal

Everyone has their own tastes. I've never been a big fan of the AOR/rock stuff, but there have been some exceptions. I used to listen to some old Petra, Novella, Siloam. A few bands like that. But I've had a natural penchant for heavier music. Though I still love some 80s hair bands. That's my...

Odd statement from director of The Chosen via The Holy Nope

Not exactly new information. Numerous threads popped up on the topic of the show, with each of them seeming to have the Mormon statement thrown in. Seems to be pretty well known. Some take heed to it, others ignore it.

    Christian Metal

Didn't realize that was White Heart, they'd be in the same category as Petra, genre wise. Metal genres are an insane topic, especially in the heavier genres. So many of them. The less heavy the music the more simplified the genre label.

    Christian Metal

These are rock bands. Petra was never seen as metal. AOR/arena/radio rock is more like it. The term 'heavy metal' is now more of a genre specific label. Heavy, yet still somewhat melodic. Judas Priest, Manowar, Dio and bands like that. And yes, all the 80s mainstream metal bands are now labeled...

    I'm 24 Years Old Today

Happy Birthday. My dad's birthday is today, as well. 91 years old.

    Contemporary Christian Music

No, not contemporary, but changing genre labels isn't an easy task. But the title has been more commonly stripped down to CCM, which means the same thing, but on the surface allows for a type of change of genre, albeit a shallow one. But, of course, when people use the full term to describe...

Why did Jesus weep? (An actual question)

Thanks to all who tried to answer. Some helped and some were exactly what I asked Not to be given, so I didn't read those, and some seemed to miss the question all together. But regardless I appreciate the time and effort to all.

Why did Jesus weep? (An actual question)

I, as so many have understood it, believed he wept joining in the grief of those that mourned the death of Lazarus. But after having just read the paragraph again it didn't actually come across that way this time. It almost gave me the impression he was upset with the mourners. It states he...

I looked into this idea once. Couldn't really think of anything that jumped out at me. Thinking now though perhaps Solveig. I already used that name for my cars bluetooth name. It's listed as "Mars Orange". Very red type of orange. Darker shade. But it means strong sun. Matches the space theme...

    The crusades

No it's not mandatory. If you don't want to make one there's no requirement.

    Just say NO to easter!

Your daily life involves your using pagan rooted things. Funny how holidays are the only one people care about. And when challenged with this, it gets ignored. Nothing but virtue signaling.

"TO DAY" alternative re: Luk 23:43 And Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, To day shalt thou be with me in paradise.

The wording being changed did nothing for me. Neither did the extra comma. And the bold/underline/size increase actually makes it harder to read. But you're also using KJV, which I don't care for anyways. It all felt superfluous.

Is it okay to be friends w. the LGBTQ+ community?

I had a best friend during most of my teen years. Before we met he was into bad stuff. He got saved, and we met shortly thereafter. I had already been a Christian for a year. He stayed sober, regularly attended church, etc... when we hung out. He knew I had zero tolerance for anything he did in...

Do we need a Walmart location in Southside Charlotte?

I think this is a question for a local forum, not an international one. Doubtful anyone outside of your area really has any opinion.

About the coming purification of all people

"The universe itself" is not a biblical statement. This is a belief that is common anymore, but centered in new age teaching. They don't believe in a being that is God, but that God is in all things. It is connected to the belief of karma. If you go around teaching this as truth you'll not...

Doesn't that describe what the site as a whole has become? Same thread topics rehashed, same users, since not many new people stay for long anymore, same arguments and conversations. This site has become a bit like a record that skips and plays the same part over and over.
