God COMMANDS people everywhere - to repent

I am actually standing before God now and every time and I know my actions are judged now and every time and I know where i stand with my father. I do not have to wait until the final judgement.

HOW MANY HOURS WAS JESUS DEAD ON THE CROSS?

I think St Paul's words to Timothy in 1 Timothy 1: 4 is apt for you here too. Do not give heed to fables and endless genealogies which minister to questions rather than godly edifying which is in faith so do.

God COMMANDS people everywhere - to repent

I believe we can stop sinning if we walk with the understanding our Lord Jesus declared to us. Our faith in him enables us to stop sinning. if the will to sin is no longer in the heart, the mortal body will eventually be quickened by the Spirit. (Romans 8:11, 13). The motions of sin in the...

God COMMANDS people everywhere - to repent

Before you believed, was there no change of heart in you to turn from your fleshly ways to the right path in sincerity? To believe entails a sincere decision one makes to turn from his old way of fleshly life to a new way of life in Christ Jesus. Nehemiah 6 has provided us with God's...

God COMMANDS people everywhere - to repent

I agree. I would however, like to add to the 3rd paragraph (in my opinion) that, it is not only by accepting what Christ does for us that we become perfect (i.e , in terms of believing only) but also by doing all he tells us to do including as you said, giving up our will to sin. He...

God COMMANDS people everywhere - to repent

Have you read the LORD's words to the seven Churches in Revelation 1 to 3. If you have not, please do. He specifically warns them to repent from those actions he finds them wanting. The same warning goes out to all the churches of our time in different ways.

Nature of man --- a different biblical perspective worth considering ( part 1)

Thank you too for maintaining an open mind throughout your discussion and for enlightening me on the likely questions that could come up in discussions of the topic. I appreciate. Maybe if you compare Genesis 5:1 with what you have tabled above, it might help. I know people use that to refer...

Nature of man --- a different biblical perspective worth considering ( part 1)

For me, when looking at the nature of man from the standpoint of the scripture, I do not think the day he was made has much bearing on his nature, so, I do not pay much attention to it, at least for now. Hence, I cannot answer your question.

Nature of man --- a different biblical perspective worth considering ( part 1)

You made that up. If you don't get real, nobody is going to respect your view. The only way "adam could not sin" is for God to make him a robot. His choice was established /ability to choose ,when God commanded him not to eat of the tree. To eat/not eat. The devil has always helped men to sin...

A statement of faith would clear that up as well as being honest about your teachers affiliation. My teachers affiliation? Oh wow! No comment on that.

Nature of man --- a different biblical perspective worth considering ( part 1)

It seems you are jumping the gun. My discussion was on the man God created in Genesis chapter 1 and 2. At that time, Christ Jesus was not yet come in the flesh. I have not discussed the fall of man and God's plan of salvation for mankind. So I think what I discussed and what you are...

Nature of man --- a different biblical perspective worth considering ( part 1)

Oh, it seems I have not responded to your post. sorry about that. What did Paul say in 1 Timothy 2:14 -- Adam was not deceived but the woman being deceived was in transgression. We know Adam ate the forbidden fruit too and therefore fell to the temptation. Satan worked through Eve to get to...

Nature of man --- a different biblical perspective worth considering ( part 1)

oh. okay. I have not responded to this. There seems to be misunderstanding of what I wrote, maybe, because of the way i framed it. God saw everything he made that it was very good. No question about that for God did not create sin. What I meant is that sin came in after God has finished...

Wow! 90%. that's not bad at all. I can understand the rest and I respect your opinion. I am intrigued by your post and it seems to me that you even have more understanding of what I am trying to put across. If the Eastern Religions do not preach Christ, then, I am 100% sure that my belief is...

Nature of man --- a different biblical perspective worth considering ( part 1)

First, I am not claiming to be a forerunner of anything. I only explain the way I understand the scripture. Moving from the principles of the doctrine of Christ Jesus unto perfection as Paul enjoins us to do in Hebrews 5 and 6, requires us having deeper spiritual understanding of the...
