The "God" part is the same being, but the Son and Father (and Holy Spirit) parts are different roles or ways of relating to humanity by the same God/Being (I Am).

Scripture reveals all we need to see regarding spiritual truth, so we who learn God’s Word are not blind although we know only partly. Btw, we should not interpret descriptive passages from the Old Testament as being prescriptive without warrant from the New Testament.

I agree, but I do not think people should equate pet and human life. It is okay to euthanize sick animals rather than pay for medical treatment, for example--and I question whether keeping animal ashes in an urn by the fireplace indicates family values.
