Chick-Fil-A bowing to the god of mammon!

All I can say is I am glad of a lot of things right this minute. It is the same way I felt two weeks ago when we "discussed" Halloween.

Chick-Fil-A bowing to the god of mammon!

No, actually everyone here is saying just the opposite. The posters here are saying that Christians will withdraw financial support from them for this imagined "betrayal." And Chick-Fil-A isn't dumb; they know Christians will walk away..... And I am sure they are not deluding themselves that...

Chick-Fil-A bowing to the god of mammon!

Is there "a Biblical Standard" that says you have to give to orphans and widows through national organizations that publicly oppose Q's...… that you cannot directly support those Jesus said to take care of unless you do it in a way that will cause dissention by getting in Q's faces? I think the...

I oppose SSM, shouldn't they be sending me at least $5 a month?

Sounds like they are still contributing $ where they choose to. Can you explain what you think is wrong because they aren't giving to certain groups?

The Bible Verse By Verse Continued...

Psalm 2–3 (TPT) Come close to me and give me your answer. Here I am, moaning and restless. I’m preoccupied with the threats of my enemies and crushed by the pressure of their opposition. They surround me with trouble and terror.

Does the new covenant affirm or deny the OT?

Yes. It puts me in mind of a child with their hands over their eyes, saying: "I can't see you..." LOL

Does the new covenant affirm or deny the OT?

A very good friend of mine wrote this . The 10 Commandments as Promises It must have been a strange feeling for Moses to return to the place where God had spoken to him out of the burning bush. On his first visit, a flock of sheep had surrounded him. Now, two million people surrounded him. God...

Does the new covenant affirm or deny the OT?

What do you suppose people do with Hebrews 4 when it speaks of Jesus as our Sabbath rest? Verses 9-10 in particular state, "So then, there remains a Sabbath rest for the people of God, for whoever has entered God's rest has also rested from his works as God did from his."

You honestly DON'T know those rules God handed down for men to live by, do you?

Does the new covenant affirm or deny the OT?

I know it is early in the day, but try reading what I wrote, not what you want it to say. I live by most of the laws God gave. The first being that I (and you) have only one god. And if you were to go through the list, I am sure there are close to at least a hundred of them I firmly believe...

Does the new covenant affirm or deny the OT?

I think that either a few posters have forgotten the OP's question, or else they have never really read all of the 613 Jewish rules. I think they have the idea those rules are all about nothing but killing bulls on holidays or not wearing polyester shirts. Nothing was ever mention about, Would...

Does the new covenant affirm or deny the OT?

Well, they kind of do have to be regularly scheduled at a designated place that can facilitate the hundreds of people who will congregate on a known periodic basis. (Seating, lighting, parking, etc.) It would be a bit haphazard if people just wandered in or out whenever they happened to think...

Does the new covenant affirm or deny the OT?

No...… the several other places Sabbath is used, it is not talking about a specific day of the week the Jewish leaders decided to make a mandantory assembly day. And speaking of "assembly", when are we to "not forsake the assembling of ourselves together" if we only "say our prayers at home?"

Does the new covenant affirm or deny the OT?

You don't believe God wants us to "cool it" and focus on Him on a periodic basis, (perhaps weekly?) instead of just working, eating, and sleeping for 365 straight days every year?
