    Are Roman Catholics Christians

I believe there is no time in heaven so Mary has eternity to hear the prayers of the church militant. God can make known to her all the prayers of the faithful. As for the Muslims they do worship one God. They do not acknowledge the Trinity but neither do the Jews. They have innumerable...

Lk 1:28-29 28 And he came to her and said, “Hail, full of grace, the Lord is with you!” 29 But she was greatly troubled at the saying, and considered in her mind what sort of greeting this might be. Did you ever wonder why Mary was greatly troubled by the angels greeting? It seems looks a...

    Are Roman Catholics Christians

Have you ever asked a fellow Christian to pray for something you cared about? I'll bet you probably have. Why did you not go directly to Jesus with your petition instead of going through another Christian. You don't need another mediator between you and God Also St John says Jesus said and...

    Are Roman Catholics Christians

Yes, I pray to Mary. This is not necromancy. Necromancy is conjuring spirits to reveal the future to you or do something for you. When we pray to Mary we are asking for her prayers to God for our petitions. James says that a prayer of a righteous man is of great effect. Of all people who...

Power to forgive sins on behalf of Christ

Maybe they were not errors. Perhaps the errors came with Luther, Calvin and Zwingli. Now look at the state of things by looking at this website. You have millions of Popes. At least we have only one.

Power to forgive sins on behalf of Christ

You say there is no apostolic succession but Judas was replaced by Matthias and Jesus called a 13th apostle, Paul. Why can we not assume that other apostles were named when one of the originals died. Also others would logically be ordained as the church grew.

Power to forgive sins on behalf of Christ

You forget about apostolic succession. Judas was replaced by Matthias. Jesus called Paul as the 13th apostle. The number of apostles increased as the church grew to today in all the Catholic bishops of the world. You give no proof that it was not to be transmitted down to successors. I...

Power to forgive sins on behalf of Christ

Jn 20:22-23 22 And when he had said this, he breathed on them, and said to them, “Receive the Holy Spirit. 23 If you forgive the sins of any, they are forgiven; if you retain the sins of any, they are retained.”

    Are Roman Catholics Christians

A uniquely Catholic doctrine is that of the Eucharist. A couple of things need to be established before we get into the text in question Jn 6:51-69. First, recorded in the Gospels in a couple of places Jesus says something figurative and his disciples misunderstand and take him literally...

    Are Roman Catholics Christians

I was born into a Catholic family and was baptized a few days after birth. Just before I started school my parents taught me the basic Catholic prayers then I started Catholic school. We were taught the Catholic faith but there was no appeal to scripture to back up doctrines. We just accepted...

    Not By Works

I think 2 Pet 2:20-23 definitively disproves eternal security. 2 Pet 2:20-22 20 For if, after they have escaped the defilements of the world through the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, they are again entangled in them and overpowered, the last state has become worse for them than...

    Mortal and Venial sins

We Catholics believe there are two kinds of sin. The more serious is mortal or deadly. Deadly that is for the soul. These are serious infractions of the Ten Commandments and cause a loss of sanctifying grace to the soul without which you cannot enter heaven. A person who dies with unforgiven...

    Images Yes or No

We all know Ex 20:4 4 “You shall not make for yourself a graven image, or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth; 5 you shall not bow down to them or serve them; for I the LORD your God am a jealous God, visiting...
