I have always been a tea drinker and enjoyed herbal, black and green teas.
Years ago, I noticed that the tea bags were transitioning from the cloth looking bags to plastic. I was disappointed but used them if I happened to buy a new box of tea with it by accident.
For twenty years, I have thrown out Teflon cookware, plastic cups and used stainless, glass and ceramic instead. I've formally studied the agricultural industries so I trust them not to provide safe food products at the source or processing. When the heat resistant plastic bags came along, I wondered what chemicals leach into our hot beverages. Now we find that it's worse than I thought!
Micro and nano plastics that directly enter the cells nucleus come from the tea bags. Those who use Keurig coffee containers should also be concerned. Boiling water over plastic can be tasted without a high tech lab spectrometer. I notice the difference between milk from a plastic jug and that from glass.
Test this for yourself.
The forever chemicals in Teflon coated (aka wax) cartons cannot contribute to health either.
What are we to do?

Forever Chemicals is new to me. I watched a cookware commercial that referred to them as they promised the product they manufactured has none.
I think we can worry ourselves silly thinking of ways to dodge all the chemicals that may reside in consumables.
If we think about and add to that the toxins in the air we breathe will we ever have peace?
