If it's just for Aron and his sons, why does it say "it is a permanent statute throughout your generations?"
The "tent of meeting" represents the Church. This is instruction to all of us, for when we attend Church.
Becoming divisive in your rhetoric doesn't honor God.

Read the context.
Everything you do not understand a bible passage read what it is saying g before and after that verse.

Lev 10:8 Then the Lord said to Aaron, 9 “You and your sons are not to drink wine or other fermented drink whenever you go into the tent of meeting, or you will die. This is a lasting ordinance for the generations to come, 10 so that you can distinguish between the holy and the common, between the unclean and the clean, 11 and so you can teach the Israelites all the decrees the Lord has given them through Moses.”

God is still speaking through Moses to Aaron and to his sons, Tel.ing them and those who will follow them not to drink when serving in the temple.

My question is why does any Christian (or anyone else) want to drink beer?

I'll admit I haven't traveled much, but I've never seen any pastor standing on mild drinks. Perhaps a few have climbed up on kegs or wine vats... probably while in the process of brewing their own.

What's so wrong with agape feasts? or love feasts? that is a ridicule over the remembering the sabbath. that is when we feast, us true believers... who remember the sabbath and keep it holy. those that don't keep the sabbath cannot enter the kingdom of heaven.

Christmas rules are you get coal for Christmas if you are a bad little boy or girl.
I know for fact, I had read in the Quran that Allah will not permit any alcoholic to marry. It was very clear. However now, going back trying to find it is impossible. I think having many different translations has ruined the Quran.

Or perhaps maybe it was a revelation for me specifically. I have been single for 20+ years. About as long as I've been drinking.

37 And no one puts new wine into old [a]wineskins; otherwise the new [fermenting] wine will [expand and] burst the skins and it will be spilled out, and the skins will be ruined.38 But new wine must be put into fresh wineskins. 39 And no one, after drinking old wine, wishes for new; for he says, ‘The old is fine.’”

Jesus can make things confusing at times.🤨

From my POV I don't see the reason why people drink other than to get "buzzed".
Some of us like the taste. Personally, it wouldn't matter if there were alcohol in it or not, but I can also say that non-alcoholic spirits and wine are not good. There are some non-alcoholic beers, including craft beers that I've had which are actually pretty good.

Never tried myself. It's walking that line, not abusing it. I have the addiction in my family, I figured staying away from it was my best move.

I got non- alcoholic ginger ale for my Mom. She wanted some to look forward to when she would get out of the hospital. I forgot what brand it was but it came in a glass bottle and had decent ingredients. With beverages, it comes down to the ingredients. I even enjoy plain water and tea because the Lord blessed me with a very good water purifier. It makes a huge difference over tap.

Sure, that's completely your decision and it's fine. I'm just not going to abstain. Life is short and God made wine to make my heart merry. :)

Although it's not prohibited, I abstain, and encourage everyone to do the same.

That is why I gave up alcohol in 1992. Didn't want to end up like my older brother who has been an alcoholic since his teens.

I've only drank a handful of times in my life. I grew up in a religion that taught it was a sin. I no longer think it's a sin but applaud anyone who abstains because they don't want to be tempted. Perhaps it's advisable, but not commanded.

One of the handful of times I drank, I had a bunch of friends who came over to my house and watch the 1990's version of Stephen King's IT. I perhaps was walking the line between tipsy and drunk... I don't know what the difference really is as I am not a drinker and had even less of an idea how much I could have before becoming drunk.

I kept commenting about how Pennywise was just misunderstood and lonely living in the sewer. It could make anyone do bad things. He just wants to make friends and invite them over to his house (the sewer). My friends had such a blast at my movie commentary, they try to get me to drink any time we get together. Unfortunately for them, alcohol taste nasty and I don't have much interest.

Alcohol in the Bible: 48 Scriptures
Rated 5 out of 5 stars.5.0 | 1 Rating

The question of whether Christians should consume alcoholic beverages often arises. It's essential to approach this topic with a heart open to God's leading. In the following discussions, I will share my perspective and the insights God has laid upon my heart regarding this matter. However, our starting point should always be carefully examining alcohol in the Bible.

To facilitate this exploration, I've compiled a list of 48 Bible verses about drinking alcohol, drawing from both the Old and New Testaments. I encourage you to embark on this journey with an open mind and a receptive spirit, allowing the Holy Spirit to give you understanding as you read these verses.

As you walk through these Scriptures, consider how they shed light on drinking alcohol from a biblical perspective. I hope this examination serves as a source of wisdom and discernment, guiding you on your path of faith. Together, let's seek to understand this important aspect of our Christian walk through the lens of God's Word.

DON"T

Ask yourself the question: How much MIGHT it cost if I drink beer? Note: I did NOT say, "How much might it cost ME? How much might it cost if your child said someday, Dad or Mom did it so it must be OK. Or So-And-So did it so it must be OK. The COST can be HUGE!
