You're talking about people coming across open borders, that makes them illegal. You said you had no problem with open borders, that's why I commented. Open borders affects everyone, it needs to be stopped, should have been stopped 3yrs ago.
Hi @ThereRoseaLamb

And why should it have been stopped three years ago? What was so special about 3 years ago. I mean we've had millions of border crossings for what? 40 years? Why is 3 years ago so magical? You know, there was a guy that said he could do it... but he failed. That was about 8 years ago.

So, what was so special about 3 years ago?

God bless,
Ted

Those who choose for life are wise. So I encourage you to vote wisely.
Hi @Cameron143

Thank you and I have already chosen life. I have believed in the one who is life to us. The one who gives life and sustains life and provides it more abundantly and filled with joy. That's real life!

But I think it's nice that we are both seeking for the same thing in this election, yet see the best option differently. And that's ok.

God bless and yes, vote wisely,
Ted

Good side step. You must be very nimble on your feet. You seem to have no problem voting for people who would take the same opportunity you have been given away from others. I get it. You are no different from any liberal I've ever met...good for me, but not for thee.

Why do you call me "Lord, Lord" and do not do the things I say?

Four yrs ago actually. The wide open borders that Joe and Kammy caused, the invasion of illegals into the country, should have been stopped. Now she's promising she can do something about it. So why not? Why didn't she stop it as the border czar?

Hey @ThereRoseaLamb

You do know that Pres. Biden tried to do something about it... and he has. He has now ordered that the border be closed when the illegal crossings get to a certain number. The number is pretty low. I think it's a good plan. For those who want freedom to cross the border without issue, they have to make the jumpers stop. And the amazing thing is that it seems to be working.

Now, no, it hasn't stopped everyone from crossing the border, but... we need to wait a bit longer for the numbers to become regular.

Biden signs executive action drastically tightening border (nbcnews.com)

He also tried to get more funding so we could have better patrolling of the border, but apparently the GOP guy doesn't want anybody to do anything on the border that has to be approved by the legislature. He thinks he'll save it for one of his grand achievements on his next 'first day'. Which will likely be much like his last first day.

Now, I will absolutely give you that these measures could have been done earlier in Pres. Biden's administration... but they weren't and we live in a place called reality. Now he is trying to make an effective border policy and the republicans are doing just what the democrats did over wall funding. They're not going to pass it because it would make the other guy look good. So, we'll see what happens on the border. My guess is that once this election is over, if VP Harris wins, she will then re-present the bill to the legislature for a new vote. By that time, with the GOP contender definitely out of the picture for at least another 4 years, the republicans might decide that yea, let's do something about the border with the democrats.

Hey, I can dream can't I?

God bless,
Ted

Biden could have done something about it before it became an invasion. But he told them all to come. At any point he could have done something, he didn't. He doesn't get kudos now for trying to look busy during election time.

Well, that sounds great. And feel free to block me after this comment. But you cannot be a born again Christian and vote for what Biden/ Harris espouse. I intend to vote wisely, I pray you do the same and stand on what is right.

Hi @ThereRoseaLamb

Why would I block you? That's not my style. I'm not afraid to interact with anyone, just because they don't share my views. And of course, I wonder if anyone's going to call you on claiming that a vote for the Biden/Harris ticket, which isn't even a thing anymore (Hey!!! Wake up. The world has moved on from the Biden/Harris thing now for about 2 week) and get away with with claiming that anyone who votes for them can't be a born again believer. Really?

I figure there are two sides here, anywhere. Good and Evil. The good isn't all good and the evil side isn't all evil. However, The Good God is all good and the evil god is all evil. I've come to this conclusion; there's the Christian force and its tactics are truth and there's the Muslim forces and its tactics are deception. And I consider anyone that doesn't support the truth, including those that are deceived as good as a Muslim. That is whatever they've adopted as their religion, whether it be atheist, Wicken, pseudo-Christian, Creten, Rastafarian, Humanist, Hippie, yada, yada, yada. But the most insidious of these is the Muslim that pretends to be Christian. I'm pretty sure that is the mark of the one that has two horns like a lamb but speaks like a dragon. Also characteristic of it is that it hates the woman that gave birth to the man child. So, likewise, if you hate this woman also, I will, by default, consider you to be as good as the dragon, even if you are only as harmless as one of its scales.

Turn about is fair play and RA won't see this anyway. For the life of me I look at the mess the country is in and can't understand why anyone would not vote, or vote other than conservative, now that everything has been fully revealed about Biden's health. Other than just flat out hate for Trump, which I don't understand either, why would you sit back and watch this dumpster fire instead of helping us put it out?? I don't understand the apathy. I don't even have children, and if I had it would be an even bigger reason to make sure I voted the Marxists out in 2024. What is the lack of concern with Christians, this apathy? Can someone calmly explain why we should risk a Biden/Harris four years?
7 Like the useless legs of one who is lame is a proverb in the mouth of a fool. 8 Like tying a stone in a sling is the giving of honor to a fool.

Wow, the way I get it, he is saying that giving honor to a fool is like loading a bullet in the chamber. Or, in other words, making Joe Biden president is like loading a bullet in the chamber or like approving Judge Jackson to the Supreme court is like loading a bullet in the chamber.

So right now we are like those seeing someone standing out on a ledge threatening to jump. In most cases the right thing to do is to talk them down. But what about 911, what if there is no way down, the building is on fire, it is going to collapse and you are dangling out the window?

9 Like a thorn bush in a drunkard’s hand is a proverb in the mouth of a fool.

Imagine a drunkard who is staggering around, falling into people, falling on the ground and doing all that while holding a thornbush in his hand. Remember a fool is a person who does not fear God, they are not able to handle the word of God.

Maybe this drunkard is babbling about being unburdened by that old has been and is now bloviating about what can be. Stay clear of them or you too will be cut up with that thorn bush.

10 Like an archer who wounds at random is one who hires a fool or any passer-by.

Again, it appears to me that Joe Biden is hiring fools or any passerby to important positions in the government. The same day Biden mandated the vaccine to all, Vice President Kamala Harris said that for women it is "my body my choice". The same people who claim they are protecting women cannot define what a woman is.

11 As a dog returns to its vomit, so fools repeat their folly.

Biden promised that not one of his relatives would have business interests in China, yet Hunter Biden still has significant business interests in China.

12 Do you see a person wise in their own eyes? There is more hope for a fool than for them. 13 A sluggard says, “There’s a lion in the road, a fierce lion roaming the streets!”

If you allow Cancel Culture to be used as an excuse to do nothing then you are a sluggard. I understand that some believers may not agree that this vaccine is the precursor to the Mark of the Beast, they may not agree that it is like wiring a house for electricity before the power is turned on, but they speak with such assurance telling people it isn't so. A great example is this Jackson nomination and approval process. Some are claiming it doesn't matter, she'll be approved no matter what. But look at how much the opposition has done? A tie vote in the committee was a major embarrassment to them, claiming that they are racists to vote against her just reminds us of Biden and others who voted against previous black women nominees, saying that they were asking "tough questions" is hypocrisy compared to the Kavanaugh hearing. Democrats asked if "he liked beer" and asked about his calendar in high school, while the Republicans asked Jackson about her rulings as a judge. Thousands of people have flooded the phone lines demanding the senators not approve her.

14 As a door turns on its hinges, so a sluggard turns on his bed. 15 A sluggard buries his hand in the dish; he is too lazy to bring it back to his mouth. 16 A sluggard is wiser in his own eyes than seven people who answer discreetly.

Right now we are seeing ordinary Americans all over this country doing something and answering discreetly. Some are getting involved in precinct politics, some are involved in auditing the election, some are involved in setting up alternate platforms for speech, still others are involved in getting the news out. What are the sluggards doing? Nothing. They thought they were so wise listening to NY Times only to learn 17 months later that the Hunter Biden laptop was real or 35 months later that January 6th was a false flag.

Ok, let me put it in a more palatable way. There is no Biblical reason to vote for the Democratic party. Their platform is against Biblical Christianity. At their last convention they wanted to strike using God's name. But let's go deeper into this discussion.

210 Democrats vote against bill requiring medical care for babies born alive after abortion attempt.

As if ripping apart a baby in the womb wasn't sick enough, now they want to let them lay there and die in more agony. There was on one Dem who voted no in the whole house. That is about as wicked as a party can get. Abortion is murder, flat out. Life begins at conception.

Dems no longer believe marriage is between a man and woman. They lit up the WH to celebrate gay marriage. Whether it's the gay or trans agenda. one pastor said "The Democrat Party has championed these abominations to the point of demanding the entire culture at large joins in celebrating these evils."

The Democratic leadership has also " supported the practices of “gender-affirming-care,” a whitewashed term used to mask the shockingly grotesque and brutal reality of self-mutilation and its accompanying consequences." They have tried to do this behind parents back in schools and have threatened that they would take children from parents that didn't go along with their stupidity. They have stopped these practices in Europe, even Bill Maher noted. They also are pushing boys in girls showers, in girls sports, in girls bathrooms. And as tampon Tim has done, even put tampons in boys bathrooms at school. Also pushed drag queens "reading" to young children and graphic gay books in school. Which both Biden/ Harris lie about saying we are trying to ban books.

In regards to helping the poor I thought the following described well the Dems POV "In the name of caring for the poor and immigrants, the Democrat Party forwards a laundry list of wealth redistribution programs. However, is there biblical support for these programs as a viable means to help the “underprivileged?” According to scripture, taking from one person to give to another is theft: “You shall not steal” (Exodus 20:15). A socialistic understanding of the economy doesn’t reward the worker, but the lazy. But Scripture teaches, “If anyone is not willing to work, let him not eat” (2 Thessalonians 3:10)."

Socialism has never worked anywhere it has been pushed. Stats show people are more generous with their money when they choose who to give to than being forced to by gov't. The lie has been told again and again that the GOP doesn't care for the poor. But it's the Dems that have just promised to raise taxes, in the mess we're in. Walz's state have some of the highest taxes in the country, plus a death tax. So much for helping the poor. The GOP has always been for helping the poor, not with hand outs but with opportunities to rise out of their circumstances.
The Dems also supported defunding the police. They sat back an allowed the Floyd riots where peoples businesses were burned to the ground. Harris got bail for them and turned them back on the streets again, as did Walz. They told the police to stand down. Now that they cut the police funding crime is everywhere and people are afraid to walk the streets in these Dem cities.

These are just a few obvious reasons one can't be a Christian and vote for a Dem.

Kamala Promises To Deliver Platform ‘Next Week’ — People Remind Her She Already Did That In 2019
“Her platform has already been announced. By her: Eliminate private health insurance, the Green New Deal, ban fracking, decriminalize illegal immigration, taxpayer-funded healthcare for illegal immigrants, gun confiscation & redirecting funds away from police. All on the record,” Guy Benson posted in response.

And here is why all the hype about Harris is totally bogus. The record also shows:

Critics were quick to point out the fact that Harris — who was bumped to the top of the 2024 Democratic ticket despite not winning a single primary vote on her own — already went public with a presidential policy platform in the run-up to the 2020 presidential election. Harris, who ran in the Democratic primary, struggled to gain traction with voters and ultimately dropped out of the race before the first caucuses and primaries even took place.

Good morning @ThereRoseaLamb

And look, the democratic process worked in your favor. The bill was passed because the majority that voted for the bill felt that babies that are somehow born after an abortion attempt will get medical care. And while certainly every life counts, out of 10,000 abortions there were only 3 such cases. And of course, the law only now makes it mandatory to give medical aid, but it would have been the doctor's, or medical staffs decision to do so, before the law. There has never been a law that one cannot give life saving measures to a baby that was supposed to be aborted. And I support the new law also. I do believe that if a baby is born alive, then we should take care of its medical needs.

Failed abortions where infants are born alive are extremely rare. In Minnesota, which tracks those cases, there were over 10,000 abortions performed in 2017 and only three cases where an infant was born alive, according to a department of health report. None subsequently survived. 'Born-alive' bill passed by House Republicans would require care for infants born alive after failed abortion - ABC News (go.com)

And apparently one of the reasons that there were so many votes not to pass the bill is because there already are laws that cover the issue:

Democratic Sen. Tim Kaine argued that the bill was unnecessary, as a 2002 born-alive bill had “reaffirmed” that “infanticide is already illegal in every state.” Kaine said in a statement: “I support that law, which is still in effect. There is no need for additional federal legislation on this topic. “

So, apparently all of this brouhaha is over a bill that was just a redundancy to laws that are already on the books. This apparently was mostly performative legislation. Makeing a big show to re-invent laws that already exist. Of course, it's also worth noting that this is something that happened in January of 2023.

And as I've claimed, the issue isn't really about whether or not abortions are legal or not. The root of the issue is why do so many people find themselves in a place where they feel that one is necessary? Just like with drugs. To stop the flow of illegal drugs, then you have to stop people from wanting to buy them. If you want to stop abortion, then stop the process that puts someone in a position where they feel led to have one. Teach sexual abstinence to your children. Make having marital affairs illegal. Do what the Scriptures say and stone such people. Stop producing televison entertainment that promotes having sexual relations as just some casual thing that everyone does on their first date after pie and coffee.

God created the union of one man and one woman within the confines of marriage to have sexual relations to procreate. Man has turned it into just something that we can all have fun with and enjoy... but ooops sometimes the consequences of such fun and enjoyment can be disastrous and a new human being is conceived in all the fun and games and it isn't fun and games any more. So, you want to stop abortion? Stop the need for abortion.

Dems no longer believe marriage is between a man and woman.
That idea actually has support among both parties to some degree. It seems to be especially hard for the parents of a child who is practicing immoral sexual activity to condemn it in their own child. So, a lot of republicans are finding that they are forced to accept such behavior or cause a major stink in their own family.

History was made last month when 47 House Republicans joined all Democrats in passing legislation that would federally protect same-sex marriages and roll back a 25-year-old law that defines marriage in the United States as between one man and one woman. Which Republicans voted for the bill on same-sex marriage and why - Washington Post

So, you're losing that fight among your own. About one fourth of the republican representatives in the house voted to 'sanctify' marriage between two people of the same sex, or whatever sex they claim to be.

Like I've always said. These issues are a symptom and a sign to the believer that the days that Paul wrote of, are upon us.

And look, if you had a reasonably decent human being to lead your cause, I could support some of these issues over what the democratic position is on them. But I'm not into making a deal with the devil to 'maybe' get someone in the office of the President that might do good on these matters. And if you've been keeping track on the GOP contenders new stance on abortion, he isn't going to promote your cause in this either.

Remember, this is the guy who throughout his 2016 campaign promised you, swore to you, that on day one he would rescind the ACA. How did that work out? His response was, "who knew that health insurance could be so tough?" And I contend that most of these issues for which you believe he's going to save the nation from will wind up with that same response. "Who knew that abortion legality could be so tough?"

I have voted for republican presidents in the past. But I'm not voting for this one. Sorry. The bad just far outweighs any good that I think he 'might' achieve. He didn't get his wall built either. Couldn't get Congress to approve funding and was only able to work in dribbles and drabs as he was able to redirect, read steal, money from other approved programs. That's not a leader in my book.

God bless you and vote wisely,
Ted

Do you follow Eschatology?

Where do you think we are in reference to the soon coming Tribulation and Rapture?
