Hardly believe that the Singles Forum is full of Satan's devices. BDF perhaps.
Perhaps not "full of" - but, don't be naive - Satan will get his fingers into every space where he can manage to accomplish it - and, the Singles Forum is no exception.

Yes, yes, the sky is falling. Again.

Wait, is it still falling or is it falling again? It's so hard to keep track of this stuff.

The sky has been falling since I was a kid, but it hasn't fallen yet. All the conspiracy theories I have heard from youth have not come to fruition.

So it's hard to tell if the sky is falling again or if it is just still falling.
Thankyou, for all those unfamiliar with what a scoffer is, Lynx has done a wonderful job of demonstrating.

The Greek Term for "tickle the ears" is to speak only things that are pleasing.

If you notice many Christian churches have taken that route and they justify it with a whole variety of reasons. If you talk about this it will bother some, or people will leave, or they won't put money in the offering box. Don't talk about hell or judgment. Don't talk about the end times or the Antichrist or prophecy.

If you follow this you will cut off 25% of the Bible, maybe even closer to 50%.

Paul said he did not shrink from giving you the full counsel of God. What they have really done is to shrink from the full counsel.

This stuff is already here. You have to be blind as a bat to not see this satanic worship at the Olympics, at the Super Bowl, at the Grammy's and at Rock concerts. Obviously I would not expect anyone on this forum to attend any of those satanic events, but you can learn about them from the preaching of various ones and their messages are online.

But it is worse, there are churches who no longer accept the Bible as the word of God. They say it is out of date. That is what I mean by the apostasy, they have left the Bible as the authoritative word of God.

Shhhh! We don't want this crap showing up there too!
And yet - you have done far more than @tourist to promote that [kind of] "damage" simply by posting in this thread... ;)

You think you are soooo smart - putting your petty remarks in 'serious' threads like this...

You are doing a great disservice to Christian brothers and sisters on this site.

I haven't finished watching it, but my sense so far is that he's not totally wrong, but I also don't think it's a matter of a grand conspiracy of secret societies. My sense is that it is moreso cliques and partiality, respect of persons, and so on and so forth. I find this issue to come up again and again on forums or chats whether they are Christian or not. Rather than being a strategy of the Devil I think it is more akin to the parable of seeds among the weeds and how the cares of the world and their own ego and their putting too much stock into online "friends" choke them out of the faith and the truth.

So now people who disagree with you are promoting damage and doing a great disservice...

I shudder to think what your judgment would be of people who actually actively work against you.

One would think that a person who refers to a thread as "this crap" would not be so sensitive to the word "damage". So if you can express your opinion with any language you wish, then so can everyone else.

How did this thread get put into "Miscellaneous"? It is clearly and without any doubt Bible discussion. Why would anyone fear exposing FreeMasons if they aren't already here.

This video is a pastor quoting a variety of Bible verses, and already we have posted the entire book of Jude. This falls under "contending for the Faith" and "we are not ignorant of Satan's devices"

Personally I was rooting for it to redirect to the conspiracy forum. But BDF would be just as good.

Oh... No no no. I know some sensitive people, and it looks like way too much stress. Not to mention all the energy they spend being sensitive. I'm far too indolent for that.

I just like poking fun at people who run around yelling about everyone being against us. It seems to go directly against what the Bible says about living in fear. I just can't help seeing the ridiculous side of it.

Predictably Going Off Topic:

Rather than lining up on different sides of an issue based on prior belief,
we could just EXAMINE THE VIDEO presented in the OP.

1. What claims does it make?
2. Does it give evidence for the claims, and is the evidence verifiable and adequate?

Very simple.

He shares personal experiences as a pastor of FreeMasons within the churches. Prior to being saved he was very active in the occult so he saw that as a mission to educate the saints when he got saved. Many in the occult are sent into the churches to cause dissension and he shares a little about their testimonies and their strategies.

Would not a person sent into the church from the occult tell us that he is saved to gain traction?

There are tests that you can do.

2 Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God: 3 And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.

Anyone can say the name of Jesus, but they must confess that Jesus is the Christ and that He came in the flesh to die on the cross and redeem all mankind from sin and death.

Simply believing in God is not sufficient, the demons believe in God and tremble.

In fact the items of the faith once for all delivered and given to us in Ephesians 4 are also a very good test. Obviously no one should be a pastor or deacon or Children's church teacher if they do not confess the items of the faith.

I shudder to think what your judgment would be of people who actually actively work against you.
I do not have a problem with disagreement - everyone is entitled to their own opinion/view. The problem I have is you seeking to belittle things that others think are important for folks to know - especially and particularly when they are trying to help others by way of knowledge and understanding.

BTW - your mention above of "promoting damage" - in the context of my use of "damage" in post #25 - is referring to what you were saying in post #16 - meaning that "damage" would be done if "this crap" (your words in post #16) were to end up in the Singles Forum. What I was saying in post #25 is that you have done far more than @tourist to promote or cause that [kind of] "damage" in/to the Singles Forum by simply posting in this thread. In other words, it would have better for you and the Singles Forum if you had left this thread well enough alone and not posted at all.

Personally I was rooting for it to redirect to the conspiracy forum. But BDF would be just as good.
This shows your complete-and-total unwillingness to accept that it is perfectly okay to have both serious threads and lighthearted threads in any forum. Also, you only want there to be lighthearted threads and "just can't handle it" if other people make serious threads - to the point that you [apparently] feel you must disrupt any serious thread with your petty remarks that insult the very thread topic and the intelligence and sincerity of other folks who have some understanding of the topic and wish to conduct orderly peaceful sane discussion of the topic in that particular thread.

I just like poking fun at people who run around yelling about everyone being against us. It seems to go directly against what the Bible says about living in fear. I just can't help seeing the ridiculous side of it.
This is the problem - you do not care enough to allow others to conduct orderly peaceful sane discussion of the topic without you trying to disrupt it with your petty remarks.

No doubt you have heard the saying:

"If you cannot say something nice, say nothing at all."

How about you learn to leave threads alone when you have nothing better to say that might actually add something meaningful and worthwhile to the thread.

If you were to express an earnest concern in a respectful way about the interest other folks have in the thread topic - that would be worthwhile. However, you don't do that - instead, you express disdain and ridicule for the thread topic and the folks discussing it.

Not everyone is against you. However, there are many, many, many different ways the devil tries to "pull us down" in an attempt to destroy us or make us ineffective for the cause of Christ. The fact that you seem to have such an uncaring attitude towards it - as though no such thing even exists - is a bit concerning.

Who said anything about living in fear?

The Bible promotes knowledge and understanding of things about which we need to know and understand. And, those of us who have knowledge and understanding pertaining to certain issues are - as a rule - not living in fear. We understand what the Bible says, what the reality will be at some point in the future, and place our belief, faith, and trust in God and the Lord Jesus Christ.

We are not afraid.

Are you afraid?

Are you sure?

Sometimes - something funny said with good timing can be a good thing - we all know that.

However, some people want to be the funny-man in every thread - which is not the best thing.

What you post in a thread should be well-considered based on the intent of the thread topic.

What is ridiculous is that you are "poking fun" at people who are trying to discuss things the Bible warns us to be aware of...
