Would you ever eat...?

When I was in arctic training I developed a taste for cod liver. Honestly, it tastes delicious.

Would you eat it?

Man, there are so many things that are said to be good for a person's health.

I know cod liver oil is supposed to be one of them?

But... I don't think I could do it. I've kind of lost my taste for most meats anyway... And the thought of organ meats just kind of freaks me out.

Anise Cookies?

I guess they kind of taste like licorice?

I can't say I remember having them. Licorice isn't a flavor I would immediately jump at when it comes to cookies...

Never tasted anise cookies before, but anise flavored candy actually tastes good.

Yes if I hold my nose, lol, and it's a great thing to put on for face nutrients. Also, yes to raw fish as in Lox and Bagels w/slice of onion.
How about turtle soup, anyone? I can't imagine what that tastes like.

Lutefisk is dried cod. Rakfisk is fermented. Totally another League.

I mean... I got the information from Garrison Keillor in a radio show called a prairie home companion, but I double checked by googling lutefisk before I posted. Both Garrison Keillor and Google agreed.

Oh well. Maybe the term has shifted. That happens sometimes. Geek has not always meant somebody who is enthusiastic about an esoteric hobby. Don't get me started on what dork used to mean...

But yeah, I would eat dried cod.

I have seen some cakes made with beautiful edible flowers -- I would definitely try them.

Goodness gracious. So far we've tried to cannibalize Bambi, Thumper, and Flower the Skunk.

We might as well throw poor Tigger into the ring as well.

Tiggers bounce and so I imagine that you'd have to slow cook him to achieve the proper tenderization. This is probably true of tigers also. I wouldn't mind a tiger skin rug but would be ashamed to kill one just for sport so, yes, I would then feed it to my friends and family. There'd be way too much for me and plenty leftover to go around.

Why does your carefully detailed and perfectly logical explanation of why Tigger needs to be slow-cooked like a pot of chili at a church potluck have me both laughing, and wanting to cry at the same time?!

I mean, it's Tigger!

How could anyone want to throw Tigger in a Crock Pot?!

I could never eat Pumbaa because I'm don't see anything about him that looks particularly appetizing, but...

He's kind of an ugly character, so go ahead and make as many rugs as want. Share them with your friends! Give them away as Christmas gifts!

Sushi is a favourite choice for my daughter and me... and sometimes her aunt joins
us as well, especially if we are eating in, and I have picked it up on the way over...

Ah, yes, real raw fish sushi, and sashimi etc... or just plain chunks of melt-in-your-mouth-like-butter raw tuna

In fact we (my daughter and I) had raw tuna in our meals last night...

Auntie had something else (chicken).

We all almost choked on our food laughing when I asked, so, is this (our fish) raw chicken?

Of course I had meant to ask if it was raw tuna!

Seriously, Tigger is so annoying, always bouncing in and rolling Pooh or anyone else that doesn't see him coming. And why does no one see him coming? He's sneaky, that's why! and then .... "oooo hooo hoo hoo" that irritating laugh!... harr dee harr harrr.. uh!

However, Roo would have to grow older, at least into a teenager, before I'd put him(?) on a rotisserie.

Would you eat tree bark?

My entire childhood is broken! Who doesn't love Tigger?!

And adorable Roo, reduced to the equivalent of Costco rotisserie chicken. I'm not sure how much more I can take.

As for eating tree bark, I've read that cinnamon is actually a kind tree bark? (I could be wrong though.)

So yes, I think I'd give the ol' bark a try.

These come very close to resembling giant blueberries... Might these be prepared with a bit of brown sugar and formed into minced Heffalump pie with a crumble crust... ?

Ah so, it makes sense why things cooked over a campfire have that extra special something something. Wood scents are among those I favor, Cassia especially, which I believe is a type of cinnamon bark.

And if Anise is a type of licorice, I don't particularly dislike black licorice, but I can't eat very many of those at a time either.
I happened on a pack of licorice seeds and thought that to be a particularly novel find, especially because I didn't know where licorice came from, so I bought them. They were black rice-grain like seeds that sprouted like weeds, and produced even more when it went to seed because I didn't know what to do with them. So, I shook some of the seeds into a paper sack and brought them to mom's who scattered them into a corner of her garden, and it wasn't long that more sprang up there also. But, before they went to seed, she pulled them up (the green) and incorporated them into a delicious beef dish. And, if I'd have known how delicious, I'd have made sure that she allow more to go to more seed... because I haven't been able to find them ever since.

I've made note to scan the packets for Anise next time to see if this is indeed what I had.

I'm expecting my little Violet in an hour or so, and she's as bouncy as Tigger so, I go and prepare a place for her...
and hope to return to learn of more things that I might now have even considered eating but would be surprised to find especially tasty. 'Gbaky!
