Sounds like icequeen is talking about lutefisk. And if that's what you're talking about, nope nope nope nope. Waste of good fish.

But since we're talking about fish... Would you eat raw fish?
Notice I did not say sushi. Sushi is a rice roll with stuff - sometimes raw fish, but sometimes cooked fish, or even no fish, or sometimes sweet potato sushi. Mmmm, sweet potato sushi was delicious...

Ahem. So, would you eat raw fish in sushi, or draped over sushi?

Not in a million years!

What is lutefisk?

Recently I overheard somebody talking in QUITE a disparaging manner about what somebody else was eating. To hear her talk, no REAL human would each such a thing.

So I thought I'd start this thread. It's kind of an audience participation thread. You answer the previous post's question, then pose a question of your own. The question is, "Would you eat...?"

The kickoff item is...

...

...

...

...Where's the drumroll?

Oh well. The kickoff item is vienna sausages! Would you eat vienna sausages? Viennese don't claim them, meat never knew them and crackers are their best friends.

Now the next person to post in this thread answers yes or no, preferably with explanantion, then you ask your own "Would you eat...?" question.
I used to occasionally pack a can in my lunch for work but they are not very scrumptious.

Is it poisonous? According to Google it’s not very safe to eat.
Basically rotted fish soaked in lye and rehydrated. It has a jelly-like consistency... From what I've heard.

You answered the question, but didn't post another. What do you ask us if we would eat?

Okay, would you eat snake? Lol
I don't know. Never had an opportunity to try it. Might as well use those critters for something though.

Would you eat a bunny? A cute little bunny... Probably related to Thumper, Bambi's friend... Would you eat Thumper?

I have tried it, and Thumper is delicious.

Bunnies don’t taste good. Not as bad as snakes, but not to be recommended. I guess Thumper is a hare, not a bunny, but I can’t see why they would be tastier.

Really, would anyone eat catfish?
I have, but it's not the best thing in the world. It's the roach of the river, a bottom feeder.

I live right next door to the self styled catfish capitol of the world though. Not that anybody cares what the catfish capitol is.

Speaking of which... Would you eat sauteed roach? They are easy to obtain, full of protein... After the apocalypse they might be the only thing we can get.

I’d rather die hungry. In the navy I just pretended to eat the stuff they said was “healthy” but gross. 🤢

When I went to visit Lynx, I tried fried catfish (and hushpuppies!) for the first time.

As you can see, I survived... :D It wasn't bad, but I can't say it was something I'd order again. I DID like the hushpuppies though. :)

Funny thing, while we were eating lunch, his little town was having a mini-tornado all around us, as we discovered when we got outside.

Looking back, I'm thinking it was because of the catfish!

Ok, since we've gone there with Thumper...

Would you eat Bambi???

I have. Bambi is delicious too. I have some of Bambi in the freezer right now. My aunt loves shooting Bambi.

Would you ever eat that skunk Bambi is investigating?

I’m not quite sure what species Bambi is. The one I see on the screen I wouldn’t eat, but being from Texas I have been eating a lot of deer.

I can’t speak for @seoulsearch but eating skunk makes me think of eating the puke right out of a sea cadet’s mouth.

Lord Have Mercy.

After surviving this thread you'd think my appetite would be suppressed enough to lose 20 pounds.

Would you eat... liver sausage?

I actually used to love this as a kid -- until the word "liver" fully registered in my mind.
