What Color Is This Owl?

I think Winston has done gone into politics. He is trying his wing at spin control.

I even got independent verification, in this very thread, from someone else who has met (and apparently tried to strangle?) Winston.

When we get to the next meetup I will hold that second picture up beside Winston and defy anybody to say they are the same color.

And Winston is STILL not getting my vote.

Winston looks like a shade of teal.

All right everyone, the moment of truth is finally here!!

I've been trying to post a picture of Winston, but I'm pretty bad at tech stuff and don't have the patience to try to download/figure out another app that will resize pictures (I was trying on the apps I already have, but apparently they don't have that option.)

And so, as you can see, my current avatar is #TheREALWinston (all others are pale imitations,) along with clear color swatches of kelly green and cobalt blue for comparison.

Winston says he doesn't care if any evidence says otherwise, he still identifies as turquoise (or teal, if he's feeling generous.)

He can be a little stubborn, but he's the smallest in the flock and has to stand up for himself (especially against a certain Faraway Cat.)

And please don't say anything about his wrinkles -- even my Mom commented the day I got him that the stuffing machine must have been running out when they got to him!

He's VERY self-conscious about it and that's why he will always be looking up at you hoping you will share your snacks -- he's just trying to fill out his fluff.

Also he doesn't look nearly as blue in your avatar picture.

I'm starting to think that there is no smear campaign against his color and he's just partially a chameleon.

He’s practicing for the press photo when he becomes the first turquoise vice president. He will just be a street crossing gone wrong on Dave’s part from becoming the first turquoise President!

Winston is practicing for his big political career!

He's seeing if he can master changing shades on a whim, depending on what the audience wants to see. 😬

That does it. I'm inspired to keep a watch out for Babs the bluejay squish mallow the next chance I get. A group of bluejays is called a "party" or sometimes a "scold." I will do whatever it takes to keep color confused owls from taking control of the world.
