This was my initial leaning and comparison shows that my eye for color is fairly spot on. :D

I absolutely loved these charts, thank you so much for posting them!!

I LOVE color and the endless variations of it. One of the things I look forward to in heaven is seeing colors we've never seen before, and all the variations of things that will probably be familiar to us, but will all be brand-new. :)

Winston is a bit cautious around humans. His track record is a bit sketchy to say the least. When my nephews were little, they used to grab him with grubby hands, hang him by his ears, and toss him through the air like a football. :(

Winston's experience at a meetup with about 5 other CC'ers was also quite checkered:

* Rodney and Pippy gave him pats, a cuddle or two, and offered to share food.
* Winston made fast friends with Miss Pippy's bunny slippers, Fuzzy and Wuzzy (I named them -- so yes I can admit to pushing my delusions on everyone around me!) :p
* Cinder tried to strangle Winston in her sleep.
* Winston was very curious about The One Who Identifies As a Faraway Cat (Lynx,) and tried to go on for a hug. He was also curious about what Lynx was eating (unless it was that abominable cow tongue!!) But Lynx wasn't having any of it and poor Winston felt a bit rejected. :cry: But Winston is a survivor! He will go on to conquer future meetups!

(Lynx does indeed give me the "Calvin and Hobbes" treatment when it comes to my little jokes involved inanimate friends. It makes for some great comedic moments and we are always bantering about something.)

I want to sincerely thank everyone who has been participating in this thread!!! It's been so much fun to read the replies and I really appreciate that others here have such great senses of humor/willingness to discuss even the silliest things.

Life is so serious and downtrodden at times, it's really nice to have Christian friends to kick back and have a few laughs with. :)

Wow, this is super interesting. I've read different summaries of what various colors symbolize in the Bible.

I've always wondered what your username meant, so thank you very much for explaining! It is amazing how many different properties God packed into water (healing, calming, something to be very cautious around, etc.)

I love that you went into detail about the different shades, descriptions, wordings, etc. Details like this aren't one of my strong points (I can only dig so deep) but I find it fascinating and really enjoy seeing others with that kind of talent sharing their depth of knowledge. :love:

I sometimes wonder if I'd been given small glimpses of perfect harmony in all of existence, when God is all in all. I was tending to my flowers recently and a four-armed hanging basket stand with I also attached a wind chime to and used to have a hummingbird feeder suspended from. I don't have the hummingbird feeder there this year because as far as I could see, it attracted no hummingbirds. And, just as I was sighing with a resignation that it would never be that any hummingbirds ever visit my garden, I noticed quick movement beside me and had flown right up to within arm reach, but just for a few seconds because it left again when I turned my head toward it (thinking that I might get a chance to 'stare'? at it... haaaa!). I don't know if it realized that I was there or exactly what attracted it. If I was a hummingbird whisper, tho, I think it was say, "Ah, yes! impatients. I love love love them!"

I'm not sure what he did for flashing arrows of varying color though. Has anyone else dealt with this?

Your friend may have cataracts. They tend to add yellow to images, thus making this owl look more green.

And I'm sure this friend will be VERY open to me telling him that, too!!!

Only sleep study I know anything about is the one I did years ago for sleep apnea. 😅
I find the idea of studying more about sleep intriguing, but thinking too much about it makes me anxious when I have to go to sleep. So it's something I don't study.

Hmm... not sure I've ever heard of that.
As a teen I used to doze off in Sunday morning service every week. And I'd get that startled almost launch yourself out of your seat wakeup hahaha. Did it other places too, but church seemed to be the main one. I had to take to sitting in the very back against the wall, to minimize being seen haha.
I don't do it so much now. And when it does happen it's not near as bad.

I had to look it up again or it've bugged me until I did. It's EHS, a type of sleeping disorder that isn't as dramatic as it sounds, called Exploding Head Syndrome.

I found this searching for 'semper augustus blue' which is claimed as the rarest blue occuring in nature (but I don't think it is the semper augustus blue I was searching out, ... since it's rare, I guess... 'shrug). It looks lavender purple blue to me.

I found a description from researchhistory.org (2011, May 14)
it was a tulip of extraordinary beauty, its midnight-blue petals topped by a band of pure white and accented with crimson flares.

oh well, if this is an accurate description, then Winston is definitely not semper augustus blue.... wait, a minute... can't you just ask him what color he is?!

Yes, blue is calming.
Wearing black can cause aggressive behavior. A study was done years ago and found that the LA Raiders football team (known for wearing all black) has the highest amount of fouls and penalties of any other team.
Red is not only alerting, but gives off the appearance of being stronger and healthier. So fighters wearing red can sometimes gain a small advantage over other fighters.
I'd never heard of yellow as being a color that draws people in. Perhaps because it's a bit of a weak, mild color. Non-threatening.
I know on the show Scrubs they referenced color psychology a few times haha. "Beautiful in blue, feared in grey" 😂
