But no-one ever said it wasn't God who made the difference and it was made quite clear the worthiness comes about in us because of Christ so why you had to disagree with something that was never spoken or implied makes me wonder why you even bothered saying anything in the first place?
What God has made clean, do not call unclean. That people want to highlight their supposed "unworthiness" detracts from Christ and insults the Fathers work.
Apparently, it appears that some people have been brainwashed by an unbalanced doctrinal thinking of Calvinism...
Total depravity... It it were an accurate term? Would leave God with nothing to save.
No boasting of self...
When doing something well? We should not boast afterwards that we did something well.
But we can boast that God enabled us by grace and used us to do something well...
Now.. For God to use you? Required the believer knowing sufficient sound doctrine.
God's ways are not our ways, and his thoughts are not our thoughts.
“For my thoughts are not your thoughts,
neither are your ways my ways,”
declares the Lord." Isaiah 55:8
Meaning? ......
If we failed to gain sound doctrinal sufficiency for doing God's will?
Having only our own thoughts, we would have resisted doing something God's way which would have seemed contrary.
By acknowledging that we are naturally, innately unworthy.... allows God to take over with good teaching and have His thoughts become our thoughts. Then?
When God sees His thoughts in a believer being made alive to that believer's soul?
Then, that is when a believer is worthy of God to use for His purpose in His plan.
Take away God's grace?
We are left with innate unworthiness in all we do.
That I believe is what was not being understood...
grace and peace ...............
