Yes, that is oh so true! That was a fave show way back when... do you know of it?

I don’t… but the hairdo looks a lot like the ones I seen in my mothers high school yearbook!

I have just been reading up on the show, That Girl, because although I know I watched it and enjoyed it,
I really don't remember much about it, but apparently, it was groundbreaking, because it was about a
single young woman and not a June Cleaver or Lucy Ricardo... pre-dating the Mary Tyler Moore show,
which was a spin off from the comedy series known as The Dick Van Dyke Show. Yes. I am that old LOL

I wouldn't say you are old. I like the term "Seasoned"... brings an air of sophistication and demands respect...

That is a lovely way to think of age... and I am still a teenager as a Christian .

I took "seasoned" from my mother, I thought it was a great way to see things. She has been through so much and still prays and trusts the Lord. She is an inspiration. Her parents, my grandfather and grandma, died a few years back. I am looking forward to seeing them again... I remember when I was a kid, spending the night at their house... I would see them kneeling by the bed together praying... I can still hear my grandfathers voice in my head, praying for his whole family...I still remember singing in the choir with my grandfather out of the old red back hymnal on Sunday Nights at church... wonderful memories.

I am not rich. But I have a rich heritage, and am blessed beyond measure. For that I am very thankful.

It really is lovely to have wonderful memories of heart-warming family times together... my mom's parents were both gone by the time I entered this world, and gosh, now that I think about it, I cannot really recall what age I was when my paternal grandparents passed, though I do remember both of them... they had a dozen children and my own father had eleven, as large families were a thing back then, and I do have quite a lot of very fond memories of family times, visits, Christmas dinners, Thanksgivings, summer picnics, etc,. and regular Sunday afternoon drives to the country to visit my mother's only sister and her family. Ah! The sweetness of life lingers.

I was raised RC and departed the church as a teen, but Christmas time was always special, and I have always loved
the carols... even as a non-beiever, I would heartily support and partake of singing such tunes at that time of year.

I was born in the mid 70s, but I have had the discussion with my wife that I would probably have been better suited (according to me anyway) to be born in the 30s or 40s. It seemed like people were closer, and life was easier. I always gravitated to TV shows like the Waltons and Litte House on the prairie... I'm the only crazy person in my neighborhood (...maybe the inspiration for my username...) that grows a garden and cans my own food. I am a ham radio guy. I could really do without the cell phone. And I think its a shame (although necessary in this day and age) that in a lot of churches, there is an armed security team. I miss family get togethers for the holidays. I miss the fact that most every business would shut down on Sundays...

Before you know it, I may be screaming "Hey you, get off my lawn" at neighborhood kids.
