Some time back, around the time I joined this site, a good friend had recommended I tune into a live broadcast of the teachings of a rabbi (looking back I'm certain that she was his wife incognito!) I loved her because she loved me, or did she love me because I loved her, I'm not sure but, I loved him too, as I loved her. Anyway, I believe that our paths were designed to cross (confirmed by a dream of them that showed it revealed foreknowledge that was later shared). Long story short, the broadcast (which allowed live chat capability) didn't run for long (perhaps because that particular station didn't match their sensibilities as well as they would've liked or perhaps he found it difficult staying focused between keeping with the subject material he'd prepared and following the guests' interactions in real time) but I looked forward to joining in on the conversation with the most witty and thoughtful people I'd ever had to joy of gathering with, and miss them all, host and guests (I believe at least a few were close personal friends) and the environment they generated, terribly. I couldn't even imagine not supporting them.
And, recently, a visiting company manager I met, who also is a delight to know, had shared that he is Palestinian (this event was before the Oct incident and he had already returned to his home account by that time) but he'd also recommended a book by Dale Carnegie who also wrote a Christian leaning book How To Stop Worrying and Start Living and he his stay wasn't so long that I got the opportunity to ask if he had read that also and thereby open up the dialogue concerning the Christian philosophies contained within it. Nonetheless, even with the little I knew of him, I couldn't imagine not supporting him also, unless this means supporting Hamas in its efforts, of course.
I think this is what proves so difficult in distinguishing between, supporting a particular people and supporting a particular effort.
