Scripture tells us that we're body, soul, and spirit. Of the body, we're flesh, blood, and bone.
Jn 1 In the beginning was the word and the word was with God and the word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things that were made were made by the word and without the word was not anything made that was made.
When Jesus was baptized of John, the Father spoke from heaven and the Spirit in the form of a dove alighted upon his shoulder.
Jesus, who knew no sin was made to be sin for us that we might be the righteousness of God in Christ.
(this is the greatest miracle in all eternity). While upon the cross in our place, under the curse of the law, which is death, he cried out, "my God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me." The Father and the Spirit made no response as they had forsaken him because of our sins. To my thinking, this was like a body being torn from its soul and spirit.
