My first thought is who are you? You do understand your just a Christian. Yes yes I know some believe they are called to be GODS Police force and judge and jury. That is no calling. Your no prophet you no Apostle.. yeah your just some person we don't know. You do not speak for GOD. See the 12 the 120 would have asked you "who are you? Who knows you? How long have you walked in what you preach?" Then all would go pray for a very long time. YES that really did happen.

Oh that is not what James 4 was saying. The "friendship of the world" is a desire for a relationship with those who reject God and His word. Did you even look this up study it? When it comes to allegiance there can be no gray areal in a believers life. Pfft whosoever in the Greek is emphatic. It indicates a deliberate choice to give allegiance to the world rather then to God. Demas is an illustration of one who chose to desert the cause of Christ because of love for the world 2 tim 4:10. Those who choose the world constitute themselves enemies of GOD. Shall I go on?

I was saved for years and still listened to Acid Rock.. Christ never ever condemned me judge said a word. I still remember sitting at work and .. it just vanished.. Yeh but I thought God reveals Himself through creation. Secular music, is still an act of creation.
Plus whatever is true, lovely, admirable( Jimi Hendrix was phenomenal on that guitar, I cannot not admire his style and talent) and Beethoven, and Prince was excellent. I think on those things. Its a gift from God, I think how well they play, seemingly without even trying...

It's odd that those claiming to be Christians object to music that glorifies the Lord and instead chooses music that glorifies the devil Weird!



Really? Do you fail to understand that God's Word is God speaking to mankind and without it all man would know if that some "higher power" created this world we live in.

Want to be in right standing with the Lord? Knowing how to do that is found in God's Word.



It means satan enjoys evil music... and those listening to it are devil friendly as in they have no problem with satanic thought and the presence of demons in their life.

Exactly. I had the same thought about the bands I liked when I was dealing with this back in the 80s.

I still like some secular. But since Jesus Christ came into my life I also enjoy Christian music too. I can identify with what some of them are saying.

Unfortunately for me, I found few Christian bands that write the sort of music I like (80s wave, post-punk). There are a few, but only a few (Declaration and Mad at the World are the only ones I found to date).

Well... Jesus doesn't appreciate music that was created as an offering to the devil which is what secular music is.

I agree with you about what you said about 2 Timothy.
Indeed one way He speaks to us is the through Word of God.

Some secular stuff invites temptation I agree. Especially for the weaker amongst us. But so does certain food if I’m on a diet. And perhaps women if I was a man.

I agree if it hurts us don’t go near it. Or it we can’t avoid if we ask for help and He will show us a way out.

Yes, and then some things we do... can be a stumbling block to others and cause them to fall.

Those claiming to be Christians who listen to secular music never think about that.

And, if secular music is doing that to someone I know, I won't play it. But, if I believe their walk is secure, I'll let God deal with them on that.
