op: Is God’s Doctrine of ONE Baptism, as many think, water?
No. The One Baptism is the baptism OF the Holy Spirit.
Thanks, but now ' which ' OF are you referring to?:

The "Baptism With The Holy Spirit" Administered By Christ? or:

Rightly Divided (2 Timothy 2:15) From “Things That Differ!” (online):

The "One Baptism [ Administered ] By The Holy Spirit,"

May I suggest you misunderstand this verse. In doing so you see spiritual baptism when it is not spiritual baptism. There is no such thing as spiritual baptism. Could you please provide scriptural proof of spiritual baptism?

Colossians 2:12; Galatians 3:27; Romans 6:3-4 and Eph. 4:5 are not proof of spiritual baptism. There is no definitive proof in those verses that he is NOT speaking of water baptism. We know that Paul baptized believers and he was in Galatia right before baptizing Lydia. Paul didn't make it to Rome so it's safe to say they were baptized by whoever converted them. We see the Ephesians being water baptized by Paul. It's unknown who founded Colossae but it's safe to say they were baptized into Christ just like all those examples we have. There is substantial proof for water baptism at conversion. I know of zero proof for spiritual baptism but I'm willing to investigate.

This is what Paul means in 1 Cor. 12:13. I'll paraphrase, when you were water baptized the Holy Spirit added you to the body. We can see that in this verse, Acts 2:41 So those who received his word were baptized, and there were added that day about three thousand souls. These people were water baptized and who added them? Not the apostles but the Holy Spirit.
Here are a few quick verses that demonstrate spiritual baptism. Water baptism is a symbol of spiritual baptism but without spiritual efficacy. If they don't convince you or hard to recognize, let me know and I'll try to clarify.

[1Co 12:13 KJV]
13 For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether [we be] Jews or Gentiles, whether [we be] bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit.

[Jhn 1:33 KJV]
33 And I knew him not: but he that sent me to baptize with water, the same said unto me, Upon whom thou shalt see the Spirit descending, and remaining on him, the same is he which baptizeth with the Holy Ghost.

[Act 11:16-17 KJV]
16 Then remembered I the word of the Lord, how that he said, John indeed baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost.

[1Pe 3:21 KJV] 21
The like figure whereunto [even] baptism doth also now save us (not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God,) by the resurrection of Jesus Christ:

As with the subject of who is chosen, I respectfully suggest your viewpoint on many verses is shaped by a misunderstanding of a few verses. For this topic I suggest the root problem is the misunderstand of this verse , 1 Cor. 12:13. In doing so, you see spiritual baptism when it is not really spiritual baptism.

I'll paraphrase what Paul means in 1 Cor. 12:13 and provide a verse that illustrates it. When you were (water) baptized the (one) Holy Spirit added you to the body. We can see that in this verse, Acts 2:41 So those who received his word were baptized, and there were added that day about three thousand souls. These people were water baptized and who added them? As for Jn. 1 and Acts 11, I'm not sure if you know but baptized with the Holy Spirit only happened twice and each was a special situation.

1 Pt. 3:21 is talking about water baptism.
were brought safely through water. 21 Baptism, which corresponds to this,

There is only one true baptism: spiritual baptism, not water baptism: spiritual baptism by God or water baptism by man? You can
conclude for yourself which you think is the true.

As I recall, you asked me to provide verses that demonstrate spiritual baptism which I did. Take them for whatever you think they're worth.

I think, my friend, that it is you who's viewpoint is shaping a misunderstanding of the verses - our works cannot bring salvation.

Again, I have no interest in reinitiating the loop.

Sorry but I'm just trying to help. If it's unwanted, I will stop.

May I suggest you're misunderstanding those verses. There is no such thing as spiritual baptism. There is baptized with the HS which only happened twice for specific reasons and water baptism. We know without any doubt those converted by the apostles were water baptized.
In 1 Cor. baptism is water, even in chapter 12. What kind of baptism would those Christians in Corinth understand this to be? 1:13 Is Christ divided? Was Paul crucified for you? Or were you baptized in the name of Paul? And here 10:2 and all were baptized into Moses in the cloud and in the sea, And here 15:29 Otherwise, what do people mean by being baptized on behalf of the dead? If the dead are not raised at all, why are people baptized on their behalf? Every other mention in the letter is water baptism. Why would they think that 12:13 is something they haven't experienced and not water which they did?

How are we placed into Christ? That's not a physical reality, but a spiritual reality.

You are correct. We are placed there by the HS when we are baptized. This verse illustrates it well.
Acts 2:41 So those who received his word were baptized, and there were added that day about three thousand souls.
The apostles didn't add them, the HS did.

The verse doesn't say that water baptism is the time this takes place. Verse 37 however reveals how God is working on the individuals through Peter's preaching. When they heard this...the mind...they were pricked in their hearts...the heart...and said, what must we do...the will.
Salvation engages the whole person, heart, mind, and will. So naturally, Peter would have perceived the work of God through the word and the Spirit and told people in this condition to repent and be baptized. God is clearly already at work in these people.

May I suggest notice who in that verse were added. Only those who were baptized.
Acts 2:41 So those who received his word were baptized, and there were added that day about three thousand souls.
This agrees with Jesus's instructions to the apostles on how to convert Christians. Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned.

Noted. But that's not a causal relationship. The causal relationship is the work of God in those individuals to create the faith that would respond to the instruction to repent and be baptized.
How many other people heard the same message that day and didn't respond?

No, there definitely is baptism by the Holy Spirit which is spiritual baptism - the true baptism. Everyone saved has been baptized by the Holy Spirit. Many people choose to be baptized with water as a symbol of spiritual baptism, but that having no spiritual efficacy whatsoever.
Many people have been saved without water baptism. Water baptism does influence God nor affect His salvation.

[Mat 3:11 KJV]
11 I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance: but he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and [with] fire:
[Mar 1:8 KJV]
8 I indeed have baptized you with water: but he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost.
[Luk 3:16 KJV]
16 John answered, saying unto [them] all, I indeed baptize you with water; but one mightier than I cometh, the latchet of whose shoes I am not worthy to unloose: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost and with fire:
[Jhn 1:33 KJV]
33 And I knew him not: but he that sent me to baptize with water, the same said unto me, Upon whom thou shalt see the Spirit descending, and remaining on him, the same is he which baptizeth with the Holy Ghost.

Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. The Spirit works through the preaching to work faith in an individual. You can literally see it happening to those people in verse 37. That's why they responded and no one else did.

My reply had a typo. It said ' Water baptism does influence God nor affect His salvation. "
What it should have said is ' Water baptism does NOT influence God nor affect His salvation. "
Sorry for any confusion.

Is it your belief that the people John the Baptist was addressing here were never baptized with/in the Holy Spirit?

“As the people were in expectation, and all were questioning in their hearts concerning John, whether he might be the Christ, John answered them all, saying, “I baptize you with water, but he who is mightier than I is coming, the strap of whose sandals I am not worthy to untie. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire.”

I agree. The word causes them to believe and obey the gospel by being baptized(in the name of) into Christ. When Jesus sent out the apostles to convert sinners to be added the the church, He told them to baptize the believers "in the name of" the Father, Son and HS. We see them do exactly that.

If you will notice Peter tells them to be baptized and you will receive the HS. Not you've received the HS now be baptized.

Is this how you understand Mark 16:16 Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved

That is correct. I suggest what John is referring to is the prophesied outpouring of the HS on the day of Pentecost.

Jesus telling the apostles. Acts 1:5 for John baptized with water, but you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit not many days from now.”

After the apostles are baptized with the HS.
Acts 2:15 For these people are not drunk, as you suppose, since it is only the third hour of the day. 16 But this is what was uttered through the prophet Joel:
17 “‘And in the last days it shall be, God declares,
that I will pour out my Spirit on all flesh,
and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy,
and your young men shall see visions,
and your old men shall dream dreams;
