A little background about me:

Saved at a Billy Graham crusade in 1981 in San Jose, CA. Called the ministry at 16 and went to bible school in Oakland, California, before joining the US NAVY. Continued my education and ministerial education within my current fellowship as I am today In CA. I am Asst. Pastor, but my gifting is evangelism and teaching. I oversee the outreach ministries of our Church.
Married, coming on 31 years, and have three children and two grandchildren. With that, again God bless and welcome

If you want to know encouraging ways to reach your community, here are just a few we have done that really helped people and won many to the Lord. it is low impact meaning not labor intensive.

1. Saturday morning LaundryMat ministries

have people provide from your small group soap, fab softener, and coins to wash & dry clothes. Tell them in these tough times, we want to show you Jesus loves them and supply your need today in his name, and we would love to pray for you. Great outreach method

2. Local Car washing

Pay for people who are washing their cars and pray for them. This, too, was very successful

These are just two of many things that HAVE WORKED FOR US IN OUTREACH.

Saturday Morning is a great youth mission time.

Things we have done.

Mowed and cleaned some of our disabled seniors' yards.

Repaired fences for seniors.

As a fund raiser for youth camp. Held a rent-a-youth day. Church members rent a youth to help with spring cleaning.

Pass out bag lunches to people on the street.

Baby sit for single moms to go shopping.

The goal is to get them working together to help others, and look for opportunities to share the Gospel.

The youth director must always be in close contact with the youth and those who they minister to. Always make sure that the youth work in teams.

Something that anyone can do. Hand the cashier some money to pay the on next person in line's bill.

We are given instruction in Romans 1:17, "The just shall live by faith." It is important to burn into our spirit, Ephesians 2:8-9, "8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: 9 Not of works, lest any man should boast." This gift of faith, which we are to live by, is not something we grow into over time by reading our Bible or praying. It is a gift. It does come from us; it comes from God only. How often we hear believers say, "I wish I had more faith!" Or, "You must put your faith in Christ to be saved." Listen, that is not the use of God's gift of faith, therefore, you are not living according to Romans 1:17, which means we are not practicing saving faith. In the place of true faith, we are attempting to serve God by plain, human faith! We are all born with the ability to believe or trust or have faith in things or people in earthly transactions. We hear this human faith numerous times: "I don't trust that person or have any faith in that business." Israel failed in being a righteous people because they did not seek the true faith but used their human birth faith to please God.
Rom 9:31-32, "31 But Israel, which followed after the law of righteousness, hath not attained to the law of righteousness. 32 Wherefore? Because they sought it not by faith, but as it were by the works of the law." The works of the law was nothing less than their birth faith. They substituted their faith for the true saving faith. When people say, "I have put My faith in Christ," My faith? That sort of language is saying that the only way I can be saved is for me to put MY faith in Christ. In Matthew 8:10, Jesus responds to the TRUE saving faith of the centurion and tells the crowd, " Verily I say unto you, I have not found so great faith, no, not in Israel." How did that work? The soldier knew, as in his own experience, that Jesus was a Man under the authority of another, the Father. He trusted in the connection that Jesus had with His Father that would bring on the healing. When places in the New Testaments make statements as, "Your faith has saved you..." Like the centurion, we know it is heaven bestowing its gifts and grace on us and not because we say we used our faith to call on God. Therefore, it is the faith OF Jesus that brings the blessings and not our faith IN Jesus. Therefore, when we pray for blessings, we come to Christ as the centurion did, we trust in the faith Jesus has in order for the Father to answer the request. Jesus tells us how we reach the Father, John 14:6, "Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me."

After spending the day in prayer and reading Matthew chapter 24, Daniel chapters 8-9, and

Revelation 12-17, there is much talk about the “End Times,” The War in Israel, the “Day of Rage,” and Friday the 13th and 14th. Jesus said in Matthew 24, answering the questions asked by the Disciples. Jesus said, “Take heed that no one deceives you. 5 For many will come in My name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ and will deceive many. 6 And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars.



See that you are not troubled; for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.

7 For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be famines, pestilences, and earthquakes in various places. 8 All these are the beginning of sorrows.

Listen, Jesus did not give us a spirit of fear but of Power, love, and a healthy mind. We are to pray, pray, and pray. The End Times are not happening to us; GOD is happening in the End Times for us.

Were to draw close to him, be filled with the Spirit, Study His word, and Live it. Jesus said Fear NOT! Have your eyes open, pray, and read the word of God. There is no End Time for those in Christ! We have passed from death unto life, and we do not suffer God's wrath. The Gates of Hell will not prevail against the Church for those who endure to the END. We endure in the “End Times” because we know God who has NO END! And He knows you IF Jesus is your Lord and Savior. Be Encourage. The End Times are not happening to you, You are supposed you happen to the End Times. Greater is he that is in you the he that is in the world. No weapon formed against you shall prosper. “Yet in all these things, we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.” Roman 8:37. Look up People are redemption is drawing Near. Even So, Come quickly, Lord Jesus. amen

My name is Matthew

I grew up attending church and thought of myself as a Christian until a month ago when I gave my life to Christ for real. I attend Church in Arizona.

I am 20 years old and have had a crazy past year. Dropped out of college, traveled the world and US trying to find who I was, decided to join the Military, and found Jesus in the chaos of it all. Praise God!

On another note;
@CS1 I was trying to message you because you mentioned that you were in the Navy. I am currently active duty Army and would like to ask you a few questions about your story and how you balanced God and military life.

Wow, sounds like you were doing what I did. Your testimony is very much my story, too.


I went to Bible school, dropped out, and joined the Navy Running from God. I did not do very well in college. Recovery from addiction and using drugs at an early age(9). My parents were divorced, and the streets became my home. I was able to graduate High school. I was saved in 1981 in San Jose, California, at a Billy Grham crusade. I was 15. God Called me into the ministry at 16, and I started work on that.


Due to immaturity and stupidity at 21, I struggled in my walk with God. I thought I was in love with a girl and joined the navy to impress her. What a fool I was. God was able to separate me from her. Send me to Japan. I also married a lady from the Philippines, but when the Volcano blew up, I lost contact with her. So I moved on, got back to the state in 91, married a woman I met, and dated for two weeks in 1992. The Navy set me back to Japan with my new wife.

My Son was born there. It was on Easter Sunday that he was born that I made a rededication to God of my Life. I moved to Washington State. That is where God really got ahold of me. And I have not looked back married 30 years now to one woman and have three children.


Christians in the military need to do the following :

1. Have a Prayer life daily
2. study the word of God daily
3. Fellowship with Christian military family members.
4. Your Job and your assignment had to Go through God before it came to you in orders
5. Put God First, BUT understand That God knows your oblation to the Miltary HE allowed you to be in it.
6. Go expects you to take care of your family and be the priest of your home
7. Promotion comes from the Lord, so work unto HIM and HE will promote you.
8. DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT become friends with Higher UPS. Familiarity breeds contempt.
9. Ensure you have military bearing and are a hardened warrior.
10. Be filled with the Holy Spirit.
11. Take care of the needs of your wife (if Married) so some other devils don't come in and try to do it for you.
12. Do not sacrifice your family for your career. Making the next pay grade and paying Alimony to an ex-wife is not fun.
13. Don't listen to the ungodly council; not everyone who is a chaplain knows Jesus as Lord. Test the spirit. Or attitude.
14. All Miltary Branch Needs come before your Families. So Numbers 1, 2& 3 are the most important on this list.



I hope this helps. This is only 20 years of military service speaking :

• I have never been divorced 30 years to one woman
• I have seen all my children born
• I have deployed 9 times for three different wars
• in 20 years, only 6 were non-combatant platforms
• I own home
• I did not go as high as I wanted to in Rank But I went high enough.

Today retired military 2009:

director for a school district
minister for a local church-certified in my denomination
Have academic degree received after retiring from the Navy in 2011

Wow, thank you so much for all of that. I really appreciate all the advice, especially from a retiree. I plan to start implementing and taking note of your advice in my life daily. It is incredible to hear other's stories and see how much they have been able to accomplish with the grace of God.

Topic:

How do we discern and determine a false teaching?


Many young believers have a fear of being deceived and losing their salvation.

Many men and women who have come to Christ have come out of addictions or some kind of hurt from a church setting.


How can I know I'm not being deceived again?


Jude 1:24-25


24Now to Him who is able to keep you from stumbling And to present you faultless
Before the presence of His glory with exceeding joy, 25 To God our Savior, Who alone is wise,
Be glory and majesty, Dominion and power, Both now and forever.

Listen, Jesus is Committed to keeping you. We must pray, study the word of God, and separate ourselves from the things of the world. That doesn't mean being controlled by a group or fellowship who are Christians. Your personal relationship with Christ is with Christ.

We do not have to be defensive to defend the faith. Believe it or not, there are brothers and sisters who love the lord but are not rooted in the word of God, which is essential.

Deceptions happen when the following are or have taken root in the believer.

• no prayer life
• biblically illiterate or unlearned in the word of God
• bouncing from church to church
• no lifestyle change from when they were not saved, no difference, and no fruit
• no discipleship or not discipled
• confused

We must build our foundation on Christ. All others are sinking sand.
Jesus is the way, the only way. Jesus is the only truth, and Jesus is the life the only life.

Many young people have a serious issue with purpose. What am I to do?

That is where prayer and discipleship will be very helpful. God is not the author of confusion.
He will speak to you through the word of God and Prayer, and You must understand He desires to do so.

This is a good start. I will wait for some questions.


Dear Lord, help my brothers and sisters. Who are in fear or hurt from controlling people and those who are wrong, in error, false, or even betraying the faith. Heal them, Lord. Bring peace that only you can bring in Jesus' name, amen.

I hope you are looking at the upcoming Advent season and Easter. It is time to redeem the day for the Lord. Get plugged into your local church and help with outreach. from Plam Sunday to two weeks after Easter, we are doing outreach each Sunday for 5 Sundays in a row.

• March 17th Baptism Sunday
• Easter festival in the park April 30th
• Easter Sunday service wo services and inside and outside seating
• April 7th Carshow and Evangelist Willie G. Outreach
• April 16th: Hit the streets locally to reach the homeless and ADDICTED.

There are many things you can do. Do something we have seen: salvation, healing, deliverance, and growth in our local fellowship. WE minster in our Local High school. we have brother and sister working in areas of our local school and standing for Christ.

Did I mention this is in California? God is moving people. Get int the flow !!!! Pray and do.

The " Triumphant Entry " as our Lord comes and fulfills prophecy riding a donkey. When a king comes to your city riding a donkey, he is coming in peace. Jesus, the Prince of Peace, came to the city named Peace.
