A very pernicious and damaging doctrine gaining popularity at the moment is saying Jesus is lesser than the Father.

This attacks the heart of salvation through Jesus Christ as God and Saviour.

Your thoughts?

(I know this has been addressed before but I thought the need to highlight it again)

This is exactly what the cults have been promoting for a long time. And the Gnostics long before that. Why? Because the deity of Christ is the key doctrine of the faith. Once you undermine that, you succeed in turning away people from salvation. As you said below

So ultimately Satan is behind these attacks and they should be refuted every time they crop up.

They seem to forget that Philip called Jesus his lord and his God.

The main verse people often bring up, is 'the Father is greater than I' from Jesus.

But this verse does not stand alone.

Not long after saying this... Jesus ascends to be one with the Father.

So the difference had nothing to do with one being inferior to the other, but positional difference.

This difference changed..and they are now co-equal in position. Not seperate also.

Jesus and His sinless life and omnipotent diety are central tenets to Christianity. This confession is a litmus test of being born again. If He was not exactly who and what He claimed to be, then our faith is in vain, and all is lost. His blood would have had no soul and sin-cleansing power.

John 14:6
“Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.”

John 10:30
“I and my Father are one.”

1 John 5:7
“For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.”

We have a zealous one in our midst on this forum now, that the mods seems to allow to continue his blasphemies.

Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.

Have you heard the saying, "don't feed the trolls." Let them keep posting to themselves. Some have come and gone already and new ones have popped up.

Yeah, I've heard that. It's a catch-all phrase used to discredit anyone a person doesn't like.

Their object is to get people to engage. When people stop responding they eventually stop.

Everyone can do what they want. As someone else pointed out. It looks like a ping pong match at times with their retorts coming within a minute of a reply while working multiple threads at the same time. Have fun with that.

Titus 3:10

If people are causing divisions among you, give a first and second warning. After that, have nothing more to do with them.

There are a number of good translations for this verse if you want to look up others.

Jesus saw Phillip without being there in physical form.

Jesus is fully God 😎
Jesus interacted with Philip being a fully-physical man and being fully God.

2 John 1

9 Whoever transgresses and doesn’t remain in the teaching of Messiah doesn’t have EL. He who remains in the teaching has both the Father and the Son. 10 If anyone comes to you and doesn’t bring this teaching, don’t receive him into your house, and don’t welcome him, 11 for he who welcomes him participates in his evil deeds.

That does not mean you need to argue either. It means you have nothing to do with it. Even if the other person is right about something, it does not help to get into an endless spat. At some point you have to walk away and continue to study to be certain of your stance.
