James 3:2 We all stumble in many ways. Anyone who is never at fault in what they say is perfect, able to keep their whole body in check.

Which area(s) do you find the most likely to cause you to sin and stumble? For me I'd say it's lusting, embarrassing to admit, but it clearly is one I struggle against a lot.

Hmm... I'd say sexual lust is up there, but so is my imperfect forgiveness record, and pride. That last one manifests itself whenever I become disgruntled with God's painful work in my life, maintaining deserts in it, etc. I have others I need to raise up every night, but these are the ones that have my most attention.

Great question!

I would say:

1. Pride (particularly "leaning on my own understanding".)

2. Fear/Anxiety/Restlessness at not knowing the outcome of any given situation.

3. Covetousness -- not in the sense of money, cars, and fancy things. I've seen the sorrows and worries those things can bring.

Rather...

I grew up as one of the only Asians is a small white town community, so I grew up coveting white features so that I could fit in. This has carried over into my adult life, often coveting other's physical attributes (height, body type, eye color, etc.) but even more than that, skill sets that I don't have.

I have some friends whom I envy for their ability to be able to retain Biblical teachings (they're literally walking Concordances,) another who has a level of compassion and forgiveness I could only hope to have an ounce of, and others who have all the abilities that seem so much more useful in this current society (tech and mechanic skills, etc.)

I've always been someone who really has to put in a ton of work to do anything -- I don't really have a natural inclination for anything so it always takes a huge effort, and even when I do learn something, I'm envious of those who can do it better.

I am often the clay vessel asking God, "Why did you make me this way? (I want an upgrade!)"

And as with everything else, I'm trying to work on it.

The gamut (at least intellectually) when I'm "moody"...

Past memories of sin are analyzed and considered when experiencing current struggles. I consider sin to be a transient anomaly that "someday" will be done away with when faith is made sight.

Sometimes my method of addressing sin has me stuck in the past and I'm not "moving forward" into what each day is the same way as I should be, so that's certainly something that deserves further consideration.

So also is exalting myself with MY understanding in prayer...

I digress.

I constantly struggle with being right all the time.

;)

Seriously, unrighteous anger is probably the sin I commit most frequently.

There isn't a day I do not struggle with love.

I met my mother when I was five, she had been ill and I hadn't been told I had a mother. She arrived at what I thought of as my home, and this skinny frowning woman told me she was my mother and I was going home with her so she could change me.!!!!!!! It has been a struggle, not only with her, but for me to accept others also with love.

1. Fearful pride and at times arrogant pride
2. Lust
3. Contempt
4. Coveting
5. Murderous rage that leads to an unforgiving spirit that hold decade long grudges

I could go on For a page or two but that’s probably top 5 if I had to rank them on prevalence and intensity

I was delivered from thinking lustfully, but sometimes I am aware and have to exert effort to catch my eye from slipping. I assume I don't have the grace I need.

My sin has been pride, and despising others, instead of loving them. I don't have patience, I would rather they just not exist than deal with them. That's pretty selfish--even the greatest of all, God, didn't do that to us, so I'm aware it's inappropriate.

John DB, your joke about your Grandpa and the people screaming is hilarious! Thank you for making me laugh.
"I wanna die like Grandpa peacefully and in my sleep. Not like his passengers which were all screaming and panicking. "

Yeah.. mine is lust. The battle against adult content on the internet. Been a very long struggle. It has hampered my growth big time.

it really hard habit to break, given how little effort it takes to find. You're not alone.

Think about how the people are actors and many are doing it against their will or have substance problems. Many of their 'parts' are plastic. It's not real in any sense and just bait.
