The sad thing about that is people have a free will but choosing wrong will end up a lot of people in hell. God didn't make robots. He wants people to use knowledge, discernment, and wisdom in their decision making.
Absolutely and i say that (about robots) all the time. This is why free-will is important. When we all face God we will know about our choices.

Yes, i completely understand this 100% and this is where i was talking about with NightTwister about his specific asthma situation and discussing fight or flight.
I said that if i am faced with such things and if i was in his situation i would probably move somewhere else. I also said that i realize that this might be considered a drastic measure for a million reasons one of them being health, but for me i am able to do this right now. Maybe not later, but for now i can and i have done it in the past too. I moved WITH family with nothing but $20 on my back and everything turned out fine.
So ultimately we are left with choices basically. How often we ACT on those choices is a matter of perspective and personal situations.
Well moving wasn't an option for my deaf friend. Just barely getting by. Like I said, these things are not so simple. That's why you can't make blanket mandates or rules because there are different circumstances you may not have considered.

Well, I don’t Rose I don’t and that’s the point because I respect free-will.
The question is what shall one do when faced with a situation like your friend.
And that part depends on the personal situation too so there aren’t any blanket solutions either.
This is what we’ve talked about so far basically.
And it seems that the majority of the participants here in this topic, respect free-will too so I was happy to see that.

That's not what i meant at all. I am able to tolerate a lot of things and the whole mask situation is ridiculous for many reasons one of them is because it was made political not medical or common sense approach or to factor-in people's health conditions.
It's the mandates that everyone (including me) have a problem with. Because i wouldn't want any mandates for things that i like to do and the government wants to take those away.
So then if by "tolerance" you mean not imposing your will on others with regards to the masks, then I think we can all live with that definition of tolerance, but it would mean that JohnDB is intolerant.

Shots, masking, distancing, and isolation have not prevented people from getting Covid19. I do not know a single person who has not caught Covid19 at least once. We were vaccinated. Eight months later we got the Covid19. We were boosted. Eight months later we got the covid19. We are both over 80. We are in the so called high risk health groups. By the time we caught it the first time, there was treatment protocols that worked. The only reason we knew that we were tested the second time was an ER visit my wife's UTI. We were treated and in both cases, put on home isolation for 10 days.

We stopped wearing masks (unless the place we were going required them) four weeks after being vaccinated. I will say that the entire time we wore them, neither of us got a cold or the flu.

We have not suffered any short or long term side effects from the vaccinations, and we don't have any long covid19.

Looking back we can see where we really flubbed up. We didn't have a realistic protocol for the treatment of people who caught it.

Our recommendation. Stop worrying about masks, or vaccinations and move on.

Neither my husband or I were vaccinated or had Covid 19. We didn't trust it from the get go heard Pastors saying it was bad news.

There's a high probability that you had it, but you never had any symptoms. We had church family members who tested positive during the outbreak that infected us, but never had any symptoms, and would have never known had they not been required to test to return to work after being exposed.

It's a simple request...don't bring your guns to church.
So I don't wear a side iron to church....
Worst case scenario is I leave it in my locked truck.

Now with the Obvious and well known pandemic it's not like everyone doesn't have a mask or access to one.

Personal beliefs about efficacy are not relevant. You are NEVER going to convince others to your point of view of whichever side you are on.

So bullying your way into an establishment that demands masking is not just rude it is terrorism. A manner of behavior which inflicts inflict terror on those inside.
I see no reason not to carry in church. I don't "bully" my way into businesses that require masks. I just take my business elsewhere.

I agree we have the right to bear arms the 2nd Amendment for self-defense. It could stop people from being murdered like what has happened in schools.

It HAS been proven that masks are useless.

The Cochrane Study, the largest study to date, the largest in existence on the efficacy of masks to stop viral transmission, was a massive study that collated 78 clinical trials, across multiple countries, with 610,872 participants.
It concluded that masks do nothing.
(In more careful scientific parlance, it concluded there is no evidence that masks have an effect on stopping viral transmission.)

Excerpts:
Regarding surgical masks:
"The pooled results of RCTs (random clinical trials) did not show a clear reduction in respiratory viral infection with the use of medical/surgical masks. "
- No evidence they do anything whatsoever.
Regarding N95 masks:
"There were no clear differences between the use of medical/surgical masks compared with N95/P2 respirators in healthcare workers when used in routine care to reduce respiratory viral infection."
- The N95 mask does no more than the surgical mask... which is nothing.

It's not much fun to read, but here it is.

With all that said, if somebody still wants to wear a mask around... hey... that's fine with me.

.

Always love it when researchers analyze the wrong data set and draw faulty conclusions. :)
But if it conforms to our bias we are all in!!

Try as he might...

I hope I didn't offend Max. In all the years I've been he's one of the most intelligent, most mature, and most God centered posters here. He's one of the ones that get straight to the point, I appreciate that. But I've never seen him be anything but Christlike and certainly no terrorist. But like I said, I won't hold my breath for DB to apologize.
