It's understood. Because Jesus at that time was referring back to what they already knew about, from Isaiah 24:9,12-13 (speaking of "Israel")... regarding when the "great" trumpet will be sounded, and the elect of Israel will be gathered together into one place upon the earth--"to worship the Lord in the holy mount, at Jerusalem"--gathered from the extremities, that is, "from the four winds" to which they had been judicially "scattered" (this is not true of "the Church which is His body" / us).

Please carefully read Matthew 24:29-31 and compare it to both Isaiah 24:9,12-13--"great" trumpet--(coupled with Rom11:27), and Daniel 9:24.

There is no "rapture / snatch / caught up" being spoken of in Matthew 24 or anywhere in His Olivet Discourse.
Spot on. Thanks again for the lovely exegetical treatments.

Isa 11:11
And it shall come to pass in that day, that the Lord shall set his hand again the second time to recover the remnant of his people, which shall be left, from Assyria, and from Egypt, and from Pathros, and from Cush, and from Elam, and from Shinar, and from Hamath, and from the islands of the sea.

Isa 27:12
And it shall come to pass in that day, that the LORD shall beat off from the channel of the river unto the stream of Egypt, and ye shall be gathered one by one, O ye children of Israel.

Isa 27:13
And it shall come to pass in that day, that the great trumpet shall be blown, and they shall come which were ready to perish in the land of Assyria, and the outcasts in the land of Egypt, and shall worship the LORD in the holy mount at Jerusalem.

Let me ask you this: is the Church supposed to be led by dullards and the ignorant or wise men and scholars?
The lord's churches are to be led by men who are children of God, who know and understand Scripture. and are able to teach in an understandable way.
I see no Bible scholars on this post and few that understand Scripture.
This poster post are filled with much clutter making what he is saying difficult to see.
He seem to be trying to empress us with his understanding, but I am not impressed.
He is just wrong in his understanding of the coming of Jesus and the gathering of the saints.

^ @DRobinson ,

"Pre-tribers have a closed mind and an inability to understand what the Scripture states so plainly."

[quoting]

Ad hominem (Latin for 'to the person'), short for argumentum ad hominem, is a term that refers to several types of arguments, most of which are fallacious. Typically this term refers to a rhetorical strategy where the speaker attacks the character, motive, or some other attribute of the person making an argument rather than attacking the substance of the argument itself. This avoids genuine debate by creating a diversion to some irrelevant but often highly charged issue.

[end quoting]

To be honest, I've not heard any "corrective" explanation to any of the posts of mine (and some other pre-tribbers) to which you've applied your Red X marks.

Care to give it a shot? Or is it your habit to just slam persons [namely, pre-tribbers alone] instead?
If you will notice I have agreed with many post of those who know the gathering of the Saints is at the second coming of Jesus.
You refuse to listen to them so why should I waste my time?

@TheDivineWatermark is one of the finest scholars here on CC. The quality of his inputs are without peer.
You would do well to hearken unto his efforts.

You on the other hand, have offered very little to nothing of value IMO. Sadly.
Little in the way of understanding begets little in the way of edifying.

Getting exegetically shipwrecked on the rocky shoals of stupidity in the stygian blackness of ignorance is a post-tribber self-inflicted catastrophe. Very common around here.

Do not be shy to cry out for a life preserver buddy. We are always here to help.....;)

OK Read Rev 20 which explains the importance of being in the first resurrection, when it happens, who will be in it.
Now explain that away with your clutter.

Pleading for and remaining ignorant is.....unbiblical. How could you not know this?

Pro 4:5
Get wisdom, get understanding: forget it not; neither decline from the words of my mouth.

Pro 4:7
Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding.

Pro 16:16
How much better is it to get wisdom than gold! and to get understanding rather to be chosen than silver!

Pro 17:16
Wherefore is there a price in the hand of a fool to get wisdom, seeing he hath no heart to it?

When you "get it" you get it. I guess you are not there yet.

The Scriptures are ALL LINKED in one indivisible whole. God willing one of these days you will finally discover this truth.
No post tribber has ever won in a pre-trib debate in the history of CC.
And never will. For obvious reasons.
Oh please, don't make me laugh! Your the one that needs to "think?" Instead of hip hoping all over the Bible and telling us how Judas is Satan. With that line of reasoning the Apostle Peter is Satan, at least according to Jesus Himself at Matthew 16:23, "Get behind Me, Satan!" Of course we all know Peter is not Satan.

We also do not need to know about Goliath and his deadly headwound or at Revelation 13:5 and other verses all about the beast, or when the vials are coming etc. Btw, you haven't met me yet. I have a simple question for you because I like to keep things simple and the issue is, "when is Jesus Christ returning the second time.

Remember Hebrews 9:28, Of course you don't. "so Christ also, having been offered once to bear the sins of many shall appear a second time for salvation/deliverance without reference to sin, to those who eagerly await Him. No rapture here! Now for my question which is taken from Matthew 24:1-3.

"And Jesis came pit from the temple and was going away when His disciples came up to point out the temple buildings to Him. Vs2, "And He answered and said to them, Do you not see all these things? Truly I say to you, not one stone here shall be left upon another, which will not be torn down. Vs3, "And as He was sitting on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to Him privately, saying, Tell us, when will these things be AND WHAT WILL BE THE SIGN OF YOUR COMING, AND THE END OF THE AGE/WORLD?"

So Mr. cv5, what will be the sign of His coming and the end of the world? Can you tell us all here? I know what it is and it sure ain't the rapture of the church. If you read from Matthew 24:4 Jesus tells us not to be misled. Then at vs5 He explains what is going to happen before the sign of His coming. Btw, these things are happening today in "spades."

The sign of His coming is at Matthew 24:15, "Therefore, (therefore refers to what He said up until vs15.) Therefore when you see the abomination of desolation (the antichrist) which was spoken of through Daniel the prophet standing in the holy place, (let the reader understand or be on notice) . Vs16-28 Jesus explains what people will do and what to expect. Does Jesus say anything about a rapture?

Now for vs29, "But immediately AFTER THE TRIBULATION of those days The Sun will be darkened, and the Moon will not give its light, and the stars will fall from the sky, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken, vs30, and then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in the sky, and then all the tribes of earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of the sky with power and great glory, Vs31, And He will send forth His angels with a great trumpet and they will gather together His elect from the four winds, from one end of the sky to the other."

And what will you be doing cv5? Having Lamb chops at the Lambs supper while all hell is breaking loose here on earth for the rest of us? Now, I'm not interested in the excuse that all this happened at 70ce. Yes, there was a revolt and much of Jerusalem was destroyed, but did the Lord return for His elect? So cv5, that was only my first question, more to follow.

IN GOD THE SON,

Rev. 20 states that all who are in the first resurrection escape the second death.
It states that those who do not take the mark of the beast and do not worship him are in the first resurrection.
It states that the Satan is bound 1000 years at this time.
logical conclusion.
First resurrection comes at end of the great tribulation when Jesus returns.

Most false teaching comes from so called Bible scholars and those who follow them.
The saving truth of the GOSPEL is simple enough for anyone to understand and receive. This much is true.

Other critical and seminal topics (such as prophecy)......not so much.

Let me ask you this: where would we be without the brilliant mind and impeccable scholarship of Paul?
Or Moses? Or Daniel? Or Solomon? Were these writers of the Bible all Podunk dunces?

Act 7:22
And Moses was learned in all the wisdom of the Egyptians, and was mighty in words and in deeds.
Deu 34:9
And Joshua the son of Nun was full of the spirit of wisdom; for Moses had laid his hands upon him: and the children of Israel hearkened unto him, and did as the LORD commanded Moses.
1Ki 5:12
And the LORD gave Solomon wisdom, as he promised him: and there was peace between Hiram and Solomon; and they two made a league together.
1Co 12:8
For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit;

I for one DO NOT hold such luminaries in contempt because of their Godly wisdom. Quite the contrary, I pray to gain such wisdom so that I might know what they know.

Pro 15:21
Folly is joy to him that is destitute of wisdom: but a man of understanding walketh uprightly.

Furthermore, if the Bible is supposedly so simple, why is it that the finest scholars of the Church age still do not comprehend the full measure of its infinite truths?

Mat 23:34
Wherefore, behold, I send unto you prophets, and wise men, and scribes: and some of them ye shall kill and crucify; and some of them shall ye scourge in your synagogues, and persecute them from city to city:
