As a child of GOD there is no need for you to suffer with sickness. I repeat it again, there is no need for you to suffer with sickness. There are two reasons why my precious beloved brethren are suffering with illnesses. The first reason is Ignorance of the Word of GOD. For thus says the LORD "My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge (Hosea 4:6)." And the second reason is that they have refused to believe the Word of GOD. For thus says the LORD, "Why do you call me, 'LORD, LORD,' and do not do what I say?...(Luke 4:46-49)."

For example, look at Aeneas in the book of Acts. He was a Christian, a child of GOD but he was suffering with illness because of his ignorance of the Word of GOD. He was paralyzed and bedridden for eight years because of his ignorance of the Word of GOD.Thanks be to GOD ALMIGHTY, for Apostle Peter was sent to him to tell him the Truth. Peter said to him, "Aeneas, JESUS CHRIST heals you. Get up and make your bed. Immediately Aeneas got up. (Acts 9:34)." Aeneas believed what Peter said, and he was healed immediately. Peter didn't pray for Aeneas, he just told him the truth about what JESUS had done for him, and he believed it and was healed. A man of GOD came to her and she was expecting him to pray for her but the Man of GOD said to her "Do you know that JESUS CHRIST has healed you?". She was so surprised and the Man of GOD told her to read 1 Peter 2:24 which says "He himself bore our sins' in his body on the cross, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; 'by his wounds you have been healed.'" The lady read it and believed it, and immediately she started praising and thanking GOD for healing her two thousand years ago. She stopped asking for healing and started praising and thanking GOD for healing her. As she did this, she got up from her wheelchair and was walking and dancing and praising GOD. She received her healing because she accepted what the Word of GOD says in 1 Peter 2:24 "... by his wounds you have been healed". Look at the tenses here, it is past tense.

Now you can clearly see that this lady was suffering with illness because of her ignorance of the Word of GOD. But thanks be to GOD ALMIGHTY that she believed the Word, she accepted the Word and she was healed.

He still heals, but not always. The special miracles that occured in Acts helped to establish the messages of the Apostles until written Scriptures were completed and circulated to the churches. We should still pray with faith in the Lord. Just because He doesn't always heal or right when we want Him to, doesn't mean that we lack faith or not walking with Him. Ie. Job, and the man born blind.

Such a pernicious doctrine, that ultimately tells people their life's situation of poor health and poverty is because they don't have strong enough faith.

Oh the damage this heresy has wrought on so many people.

I just think that there are various causes of sickness, injuries, birth defects. In this case it looks like Satan attacked God's most righteous man. I don't think there's a question as to that. Job's friends accused Job that his suffering was because of his own mouth.

I've had to gain strength through this passage in my time of suffering this month.

Although you see him complaining later, God humbled Job later and rather rebuked the four "friends." He wouldn't even listen to their prayers.
I recently mentioned my own personal testing and was accused of sinning. I DO sin, but it wasn't apparent that my trials were resulting from God's chastening. There are people who have had a fairly easy life and teaching that often jump to such judgements against believers who suffer beyond their comprehension.

Well, your statement in your 1st sentence is a lie. You are going to deceive children of God.

I was being facetious. While I do think Christians know too little of what it means to walk by faith and don't live in the fulness of all God in Christ has made available to us, your oversimplification of the subject reflects a name it and claim it mentally that is simply false. If Jesus learned obedience through the things He suffered, how much more suffering is required of those not nearly as perfect?
