If 500 people are killed each year in these mass shootings in schools do you think that is sufficient to take away guns from law abiding people who use those guns to hunt, put food on their table and help keep the wildlife in a good balance since we have already removed predators?

(I would point out that farmers use night vision goggles and the so called "assault rifles" mistakenly labeled since AR actually refers to the name of the company manufacturing the rifle. They use them to kill feral hogs and coyotes that cause billions of dollars worth of damage to the food. I would also point out that if people are starving to death destroying a billion dollars worth of food can be equated to a certain number of people dying.)

Nothing has gotten done because politicians have no real interest in it coming to an end. Those on the right and left are to busy ginning up their bases on the issue of gun control. This is because most politicians are more interested in getting reelected and not serving their constituents.
But it is liberal policies that has led to the increase in mental health issues. This would take time to explain why and I realize you probably don't agree with this premise, but it is true.
What is also true is that until a commitment is made to eradicate the underlying cause, nothing will change.
And it should be at least somewhat understandable that people will push back on an OP that is blatantly false. For example, did you know that those in the US who have qualified for concealed carry have the lowest incidence of crime of any group, including law enforcement personnel? It's true.

If his countrymen were disarmed and led by a psycho woman, she could decimate every male citizen with her own army's weapons.. Then brag about being "tough on crime."
