God's omniscience + Christ being purposed from before the foundation of the world...

I cannot call it a design flaw or weakness. Man was intended to find their life in Christ -:D

Romans 11:32
:)
Yes, Adam was created just as God intended, and it was described as a "very good" accomplishment.

He was also created with free will and was given a choice between the two ways: the tree of life, eternal life in God, or the tree of the knowledge of good and evil--we choose for ourselves and want the control/power like Satan.

Unfortuntely, we know how that part of the story ends...

But, then there's the Second Adam, Jesus, who makes reconciliation possible!

That phrase, “he was with her” does not necessarily mean Adam was right beside her. Adam was with her in the garden. Adam would have stopped Eve. He would not be deceived like the woman. Eve was deceived.
Yeah, everybody already established that Eve was deceived. But Adam was worse - he KNEW better since the command was given directly to him (Genesis 2:16-17) but ate the fruit anyway. He CHOSE to rebel against God's order. And he didn't protect Eve from being deceived like he was suppose to.

I really do think he just stood by and let her be deceived because what it all boils down to, is that the first sin is attributed to Adam and not to Eve.

1 Corinthians 15:21–22, 45 For since by man came death, by Man also came the resurrection of the dead. For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ all shall be made alive.

And so it is written, “The first man Adam became a living being.” The last Adam became a life-giving spirit.

I can understand if it would have been attributed to Eve, if Adam was away from her, and she comes to him holding the fruit and chewing on it, if he refused it right there and then and threw it away and gave her good stern talking to. Then I can see God having the Bible say that it was all Eve's fault. But that's not what happened.

I suspect that neither of them were innocent. It seems that both of them had heard God's original instructions.
Genesis 3:
1Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?
2And the woman said unto the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden:
3But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die.

Yeah it's clear when God came to visit them that neither were innocent, but some people act like Adam did it to "fall" with Eve like he loved her so much that he sacrificed himself. I'm thinking "nah, man," he wants to eat the fruit himself but he wants her take all the blame. Thank God that God Himself wasn't fooled.

I mean look at what happened. God goes to Adam first:

Genesis 3:

11 And he said, “Who told you that you were naked? Have you eaten from the tree that I commanded you not to eat from?”

12 The man said, “The woman you put here with meshe gave me some fruit from the tree, and I ate it.

All of a sudden, she's not his wife - the one who is suppose to be so close to him and so much a part of him that she's "bone of his bone and flesh of his flesh." She's now just "the woman you put here with me." Honestly, this part made me laugh at how he tried to distance himself from his wife at that moment!

Then Adam says "she gave me some fruit from the tree, and I ate it." Like oh my gosh, somehow she overpowered him, made him open his mouth, forced him to bite off some of the fruit, and worked his mouth and throat with her hands to make him chew and swallow it. I'm sorry, but that's the cutscene I'm seeing when he said that, lol!

Anyway...

Ironically, it's something to note that God brought about the solution to forgiving sin and reconciliation of people to Himself through Eve's seed (Genesis 3:15) even though she technically sinned first.

I guess I get a little peeved when people try to blame Eve as if being deceived is worse than someone who chose to rebel. Rebelling really is one of the worst sins (although forgivable). I know this for a fact because I rebelled against God for a time earlier in my walk because of my crisis in faith. Rebellion really upsets God especially if one had a good walk with Him as Adam did and as I did.

Also from a human point of view, I think Eve was also very hurt that Adam tried to throw her under the bus. I felt bad for her about that.

Adam's sin was a picture of Jesus Christ as he gave his life over to be with his bride. Adam knew what he was doing. Adam wanted to be with Eve. He sinned to be with her for he knew the consequences.

Romans 5:14 Nevertheless death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over them that had not sinned after the similitude of Adam's transgression, who is the figure of him that was to come.

So, when they chose to sin, what was the basis for their choice
Was the spark the deceiver Satan and his lies and temptations? Seems so.

This seems to be the key feature in God's purpose of reconciliation. Thus the utterance of the redemption prophecy immediately after Eve makes the accusation.

Gen 3:13
And the LORD God said to the woman, “What is this you have done?” The woman said, “The serpent deceived me, and I ate.”

Gen 3:14
So the LORD God said to the serpent:

“Because you have done this,
You are cursed more than all cattle,
And more than every beast of the field;
On your belly you shall go,
And you shall eat dust
All the days of your life.

Gen 3:15
And I will put enmity
Between you and the woman,
And between your seed and her Seed;
He shall bruise your head,
And you shall bruise His heel.”

No, Adam's words belie that. He was in it for himself and not for Eve.

If Adam really did make that sacrifice to be with Eve, he would have not tried to blame Eve at all for his partaking of the fruit, but rather taking the blame himself.

Also notice something else!

Check out his words again to God....

Genesis 3:

11 And he [God] said, “Who told you that you were naked? Have you eaten from the tree that I commanded you not to eat from?”

12 The man said, “
The woman YOU put here with me—she gave me some fruit from the tree, and I ate it.”

Adam tried to actually low-key blame God Himself!

As if to say, "Well, Lord, if YOU hadn't given me this person, then none of this would have happened."

So yeah, this is one of the reasons why the first sin was attributed to him and not to Eve.

He just went into defensive mode, he did for Eve initially.

Not an unusual human pattern.

Nothing low key about that. Adam blamed God and Eve. Eve blamed the snake. And the snake didn't have a leg to stand on.

1. When Adam sinned, his mind, heart, and will were corrupted.

2. Jesus has met every requirement of God for those who are saved.

3. All that are given to Jesus by the Father will come to Him and receive eternal life.

I know how tempting it is to add explanations. Please refrain. I understand that apart from being able to give an explanation some may not want to participate. Perfectly understandable.

Adam didn't blame Eve, and Eve didn't blame the serpent. They were simply stating truth.

1 Timothy 2:
13 For Adam was first formed, then Eve.
14 And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression.

You said Adam was worthy of gods wrath , what I was saying is Gods wrath is not death we all die like Adam did that isn't because of Gods wrath it's because we hear what God says is life , and do what he says is death in other words death is a result of man's sin , not Gods wrath. Two different things
Excellent Hair-splitting. Meaningless.

In regard to possible motivation, when I read of the account of Eve being deceived, Adam was with her and that made me think he LET Eve be deceived. He might have thought that she might get the blame alone since she initiated taking and eating the fruit. Also he probably waited to see what would happen to her when she ate it. Then when he saw that nothing terrible happened to her right away, he probably thought, "oh good, then I can try it as well."

Genesis 2:6 When the woman saw that the fruit of the tree was good for food and pleasing to the eye, and also desirable for gaining wisdom, she took some and ate it. She also gave some to her husband, who was with her, and he ate it.

So to me, he really dropped the ball as to his role of leader of the family and husband. He was suppose to watch out for her, but he didn't do that.
And worse yet, Adam turned around and tried TO BLAME GOD for the whole thing (The Woman YOU GAVE ME).
