Thats what people are guilty of who teach say for instance that Jn 3:16 says God loved and Christ died for all mankind without exception, as to say every single individual, since thats a lie !
Bad translation...it should say that God so loved the world of the elect. We need a Calvinist to re-write the bible.:LOL::LOL:

God agreed that man had become like Him in knowing good and evil.

How can you then call it a lie?
Eve in the garden. "You shall be as God". Before Eve acted, this notion of ability was
planted by satan. In her mind she actually believed she was able to be as God.

Is this a true statement? 👆

Did satan state/imply Eve could be as God? Yes.
Did she believe she could be as God? Yes.

It's a true statement.

But I see your point though, you're stating Eve did actually become as God. Gen. 3:22 So satan was telling the truth in Gen. 3:5.
I get it now.

Thats what it means, world of the elect.
I‘ll start…;)

Romans12:2 And be not conformed to this world of the elect: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

You are taking away from what was said, by both Satan, and by God.

What was said:

“For God knows that in the day you eat of it, your eyes will be opened and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.”

NOT simply, you will be like God. Nobody said that.

Satan said, you will be like God, knowing good and evil.

God said, Behold, the man has become like one of Us, knowing good and evil.

Ergo, that was NOT Satan's lie.

On the other hand, unfortunately, Satan's lie is repeated to this very day.

caveat
a warning or proviso of specific stipulations, conditions, or limitations.

No, I honestly see what you're saying. You're essentially saying satan was telling the truth when he told Eve she would be as God in verse 5 because God states later in verse 22 that they had become like us.

I called satan a liar because nobody can actually be as God and you're defending him. I totally get it, weird but I get it. This exchange kind of captures the entire essence of my short novel 🤣

You keep doing it though, saying they would be like God without specifying in what way as the text does :censored:

I am not defending Satan. You don't get it at all. And you should stop misrepresenting the Word of God.

Embrace your own words because they categorically suit your heresy.
Its written just fine, God gives His own understanding. But world when used in a Salvation related passage means the elect, the Sheep, or the Church, or the saved. But it never means the lost

No it does not mean the world of the elect. There is no world of the elect. Here is another passage.
And He Himself is the propitiation for our sins, and not for ours only but also for the whole world.
I John 2:2
Not only our sins,( Our being those of the believers), but also those of the whole world.
Calvin imposed that interpretation upon the text, but Calvin was also ok with using the state to kill those who disagreed with him. So I myself do not give the tiniest creedence to any of Calvin's theology.

John 15:19
If you belonged to the world of the elect, it would love you as its own. As it is, you do not belong to the world of the elect, but I have chosen you out of the world of the elect. That is why the world of the elect hates you.

Yes it does mean world of the elect, and so does 1 Jn 2:2
