Searching for Jesus

I was born and raised Catholic until my teenage years. Im 59 now and am struggling to renew my faith. I go to different services in my area trying to find a place where i fit. I have always been shy in public where I am unknowing. I want to be baptized (again) and saved and to accept jesus into my life. Thank you for letting me join this Chat

I want you to know that getting saved has absolutely nothing to do with water baptism. Salvation concerns a personal relationship with Jesus. Just get alone and talk to Him. He loves you and is waiting for you to completely give yourself to Him.

We share a similar background. I was also born and raised Catholic. When I was a teenager a man asked me if I were to die that day if I was 100% sure if I would go to heaven? I was not sure, but glad that he cared enough to ask me. Even by then, I had some close calls. I considered his message, by was not convinced until I could determine from the Bible. As a Roman Catholic I was taught that the Bible was truly God's Word which was trustworthy. I figured that important topic wasn't something God would want to hide from us. I took the verses on the paper he gave me and that night, remembered that I agreed to read them before I go to bed. I took it seriously and asked the Lord for help to know for sure what the truth about this is.
CraigAllen, I am more than happy to answer any further questions you may have. I will post two short videos that will provide answers to what it means to have Christ in your life and come to know what the Bible says about having a home in heaven.

Brother CraigAllen,I have some very good news for you! Jesus is very much alive inside of me, to prove this to you, the Lord Jesus gave me this to tell you personally!! (Isaiah 41:9-13) There is nothing like being truly wanted by HIM!! May this both encourage you and lead you in love to help others as you are helped. Jesus wants thankful people!! It is his very will!!(1 Thess 5:18) Do not fear any longer, Jesus has heard your cry!! Blessing brother!! STAY DAILY in his Word, pray for his wisdom because he fully intends to give this to you! (James 1:5) And finally NEVER EVER GIVE UP!!!! No matter what! At 70 years of age brother, I have gone through the fire a few times, but Jesus pulled me out every time!! Blessing to you brother. Welcome Craig. As I always say, Craigs make dependable friends. Just like God is our dependable friend. As long as you trust in Jesus, and pray with him, you can do anything. Ask Jesus to help you with your shyness, and he will help. If you need anything, feel free to chat with me. I'm the opposite of shy. Am a recently converted from non-denominational to Catholic right now (April 2022), but am open to any denominations and am non judgemental about any denomination.

Nice to hear from you, friend. I am also an oldie --about 30 years older. If one has received the Lord Jesus into their heart in trust and conversation with Him (as John 3; John 14:6; Romans 8; 1 Jn. 5:10-12; etc. they are on real Christian ground. We need to be walking and talking with our Savior all day to be kept on track to honor and please our Creator-God. You do NOT need a new baptism.
