According to the Bible, dishonest folks are doomed.

• Rev 22:15 . . Outside are . . . everyone who loves and practices falsehood.

• Rev 21:8 . . All liars, their part will be in the lake that burns with fire and
brimstone, which is the second death.

How is that fair to people born that way?

• Ps 58:3 . .The wicked are estranged from the womb; these who speak lies
go astray from birth.

• Jer 13:23 . . Can the Ethiopian change his skin or the leopard its spots?
Neither can you do good who are accustomed to doing evil."

Peter lied 3 times and surely Repented and Yeshua restored him to what we read in the Book of Acts.

That would be Rahab, a loose woman, and in the genealogy of our Lord.

Someone who claims to be honest 100% of the time is dishonest.

Yes, and she is listed among those of great faith.

Christ has paved the way for the doomed to be restored from their estrangement and through faith can be reconciled in full relationship to God.. Not yet perfect but one day -

As for fairness, do you think God is not fair🤔in other words unjust. Do you not think that the human race, who is in rebellion against God, deserves its just punishment. Do you not think God is just in declaring the guilty.. Guilty?

Or are you saying why did God let humanity carry on after they fell into evil🤔. But even here, and if this what you may be hinting at. God had a plan from before the foundation of the world to display his glory in his Son. To save the lost. Eph 3:9ff: 1 Pet 1:19ff.

I think it's rather unfair to categorize Peter, Rahab, and/or the midwives in
Exodus along with incorrigible folks born to lie, i.e. people for whom
dishonesty is normal, natural, and consistent.

Everyone is born with that nature. There is no one who is born righteous or even achieves their own. Romans 1 and 2 explain this.

The only man not born sinless was Christ. All humans are continually evil and the wrath of God is upon them. And only deserving God's righteous justice. Gen 6:5; 8:21; John 3:36; Rom 1:18.

There is not one righteous person.
Apart from the righteousness of Christ being imputed to them through faith. 2 Cor 5:21.

That's the good news my friend.

Even Christians aren't perfect except for the imputed righteousness of Christ.. But, one day - Rev 21.


Are you 100%. Honest in everything you do weber, in thought and deed.. Even if you say 99% of the time you still fall short.


All to say, all humans are born wicked and evil.. Thats easy to prove.. Just watch a child grow.. You have to teach them to be good. Pride, lying, stealing, swearing comes quite naturally to all unless restrained. Usually by parental discipline. But that only restrains the evil as the nature is alway sinful. Only Faith in Christ brings about the new man.

wasn't Peter a business man/fisherman? i haven't met many business people who haven't turned their eye to get ahead or promised what could not be kept. Matthew was a tax Collector who would take the food out of the mouths of starving children for a profit. it seems the impossible can become possible once you meet God.

The OP isn't asking about "righteous" it's asking about dishonesty-- in
particular that which is the very core of one's being.

You can run me, you can starve me, you can beat me and you can kill me. Just don't bore me.
