Righteousness is an imputer gift & not earned

Rom 4:11 Abraham received the sign of circumcision, a seal of the righteousness of the faith which he had yet being uncircumcised: that he might be the father of all them that believe, though they be not circumcised; that righteousness might be imputed unto them also:

Rom 4:22 And therefore it was imputed to him for righteousness.

Rom 4:23 Now it was not written for his sake alone, that it was imputed to him;

Rom 4:24 But for us also, to whom it shall be imputed, if we believe on him that raised up Jesus our Lord from the dead;

Ja 2:23 And the scripture was fulfilled which saith, Abraham believed God, and it was imputed unto him for righteousness:

Rom 3:
22 Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference:

23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

24 Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus

Rom 5:
17 For if by the trespass of the one (Adam), death reigned through the one (Adam), much more surely will those who receive the abundance of grace and the free gift of righteousness reign in [eternal] life through the One, Jesus Christ.

19 (B) so through the obedience of the one Man the many will be made righteous and acceptable to God and brought into right standing with Him.

Gal 2:20 I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the "faith of the Son of God", who loved me, and gave himself for me.
(MY NOTE: We live by the faith "OF" the Son of God, who loved us, and gave himself as a sin sacrifice for us)

Gal 3:22 But the scripture hath concluded all under sin, that the promise by "faith of Jesus Christ" might be given to them that believe.

Believers don't obtained righteousness thru their own obedient actions. Righteousness is an imputed gift (Rom 5:17) from God. A gift is given not earned. The Lord Jesus is the source of/to righteousness.

While the Temple was operating the High Priest had authority to impute/transfer sin (Lev 16:21).

Christ is our Great High Priest (Heb 4:14). Christ can not only Impute a believer's sins onto Himself. Our Great High Priest can also, Impute His righteousness onto the believer as well. Whereby, we become the righteousness of God in Jesus (2 Cor 5:21).

Phil 2:8 And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.
(MY NOTE: Jesus' obedience & faithful, even the death of the cross)

Rom 5:19 For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous
MY NOTE: Adam sinned & FAITH placed in the Lord Jesus's obedience, sin atoning sacrifice & resurrection is the fix)

Habakkuk 2:4 Behold, his soul which is lifted up is not upright in him: but "the just shall live by his faith".
(MY NOTE: The just live by "HIS" faith!)

Rom 1:17 For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from "faith to faith": as it is written, The just shall live by faith.

That's our Faith placed in Him & His faithful, obedient work. Found in His sin atoning death (sins required wage/PAID) burial (proof Jesus died) & resurrection (Fathers receipt, sins required wage received & accepted)

Never looked at it as gift. One day about to walk away because of sin that I see in my life 24/7 and in the margin of the bible I was reading said if your heart convicts you, you wont get anything from God. So I side I quit my heart convicts me 24/7. As I was leaving the lord asked me " what is righteousness" I turned and said "ok ok righteousness is right standing with God" He then asked "how do you get righteousness?" I said by believing in Jesus. Oh what happened next was awesome like being blind then you can see. Cried and cried.

That is exactly what the word says. Its no as we all know anything we did or well ever do its what Christ already did. Believing in Christ we are in right standing with God aka righteousness. Its why we can come boldly before Him its why we sit in heavenly places. Yet a gift none the less

Even though this is plainly stated in Scripture there are many Christians who simply cannot understand imputed righteousness. Nor can they understand justification by grace through faith, nor the fact that justification is NOT sanctification.

During the time of the Reformation, the Catholic Church began a "Counter-Reformation" and its principles are found in The Council of Trent. This document vehemently rejected justification by grace through faith and imputed righteousness, and pronounced "anathemas" on those who believed the Bible.

It is beyond human reason to think that God will actually declared a vile sinner to be as righteous as Christ when he or she repents and believes on the Lord Jesus Christ. But this is purely by the grace of God and purely on the basis of the finished work of Christ. But it is in fact a mind-boggling concept.

However, the truth of the matter is that every believer is DEEMED to be as righteous as God and Christ. This is imputed righteousness since it is put to the spiritual account of the believer. But just so that no one is in any doubt, God clothes the believer with the invisible "robe of righteousness", because that person is "in Christ" and Christ is within that person.

The logical corollary of this is that if God sees you to be as righteous as Christ then He also demands that you be righteous and holy. This is practical righteousness, and those who are saved by grace and kept by the power of God are to put into effect what is stated in Titus 2:11-14: 11 For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, 12 Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world; 13 Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ; 14 Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.

Clearly, you're one of Christians who simply cannot understand imputed (not earned/worked for) righteousness. Post make's no claims nor mention of sanctification.

The OP scripture posted makes no claim, nor can I find any scripture, that cites a vile sinner will ever be as righteous as Christ. The verses say Christ imputes His Righteousness & now the believer is placed into a right standing (reread Rom 5:19 in the OP) with the Father. Not equal in righteousness with the Lord Jesus

Again, I adamantly disagree that any believer is or will ever be as righteous as God and/or Christ.

1 vs say's, Rom 3:24 say's justified/redeemed freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus.
(MY NOTE: justified - Judicially Declared Righteous by a sovereign God. Thru FAITH placed in Christ's sin atoning death & resurrection. NOT because of the believers' actions: obedience, confessing every post conversion sin, water baptism, etc. By Faith & Faith alone!

1 vs says, Rom 5:17 the free gift of righteousness. BTW Rom 5:18 repeats righteousness is a GIFT. Gifts are given, NOT earned as you claim.

Here are 3 not in the OP that state righteousness comes by Faith, Not works

Rom 4:13 For the promise, that he should be the heir of the world, was not to Abraham, or to his seed, through the law, but through the righteousness of faith.

Rom 9:30 What shall we say then? That the Gentiles, which followed not after righteousness, have attained to righteousness, even the righteousness which is of faith.

Gal 5:5 For we through the Spirit wait for the hope of righteousness by faith.

Finally,
As for the Tit verses you cited. In no way does the OP oppose these teachings. It does oppose the notion a believer's salvation will be lost if they miss those advised marks.
