Paul clearly includes the 10 commandments when he says "the law" -- see Romans 7:7
there is zero indication anywhere in the NT that any time anyone mentions "the law" they are only talking about certain jots and tittles but not other ones.
Paul in fact includes Genesis under the term "the law" -- see Galatians 4:21-31
If it is the same one law being mentioned in all of the NT, Matt 5:17, Rom, Gal, Col, James, Rev. Some of the verses would controdict themselves.... ?
Mat 5:17-18
17 Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil. 18 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.
Heaven and Earth are still here so the law here has not changed......
Rom 3:31 Do we then make void the law through faith? God forbid: yea, we establish the law.
Which law??
I don't think paul is talking about cicumcism
Rom 7:7 What shall we say then?
Is the law sin? God forbid. Nay, I had not known sin, but by the law: for I had not known lust, except the law had said, Thou shalt not covet.
In this verse it is the 10 commandments... The law is spiritual and holy and good.
Gal 3:11 But that no man is justified by the law in the sight of God,
it is evident: for, The just shall live by faith. 12 And the law is not of faith: but, The man that doeth them shall live in them. 13 Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed
is every one that hangeth on a tree:
Galatians has a lot to say about the law and it is easy to apply the law you want to apply so it suits your belief.
It needs to be read in context and with the rest of the bible.
Gal 3:23 But before faith came, we were kept under the law, shut up unto the faith which should afterwards be revealed. 24 Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster
to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith. 25 But after that faith is come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster.
Is this the same law that would not change according to Matt 5:17.
Eph 2:15 Having abolished in his flesh the enmity,
even the law of commandments
contained in ordinances; for to make in himself of twain one new man,
so making peace;
Christ abolished this law..
Ordinances being a key..
Col 2: 14 Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross; 15
And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it. 16 Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath
days: 17 Which are a shadow of things to come; but the body
is of Christ.
Is this the same law that Jesus was talking about in Matt 5:17.
Is it the same law as..
Jas 2: 10 For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one
point, he is guilty of all. 11 For he that said, Do not commit adultery, said also, Do not kill. Now if thou commit no adultery, yet if thou kill, thou art become a transgressor of the law. 12 So speak ye, and so do, as they that shall be judged by the law of liberty.

1Jn 2: 3 And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments. 4 He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.
Some places in the bible we are told that the law is nailed to the cross and in many places we are told to keep the law.
If it is the same law the bible is controdicting itself.
It is clear that Christ has set us free from the condemnation of the law. We are not under the curse when Christ forgives us.
Does that make the law void and do we continue in sin that grace might abound?
