God produces good works through him as he yields himself fully...
Amen! It is ONLY by Christ on the throne of the heart that we are able to manifest good works in our lives...the reason why so many fight the law is because it is not Christ - but Satan - who resides on that throne, preventing them from manifesting any good works. I pray they make a full surrender to Jesus and allow Him to take His rightful place their, and they will finally see that "his commandments are not grievous".

some people seem to think that anyone who doesn't boast in works, has none.

smh
A lack of boasting isn't what proves a lack of works, but the incessant whining from the OSAS License to Sin crowd that no one can perform them.

thank you; this is a good example of what i said.

you've framed the full assurance of our hope, which is the faithfulness of God in our salvation, as 'license to sin'
that is a tacit accusation that anyone who has put their trust in God is constantly pursuing and excusing sin.

you also misrepresented the fact that all of us have sin and are in need of our Saviour as an excuse to do no good or righteous thing.
that is a tacit boast that you yourself, in contrast, do lots of good works while the rest of us are lazy and plot evil all day & night

implicit in this is that, because we affirm that no one is good but God, and affirm that He has saved us by grace through faith, not of works, you think we have no works.

we can see that Paul was similarly falsely accused of preaching a license to sin as well:

Why not say—as some slanderously claim that we say—"Let us do evil that good may result"?
(Romans 3:8)
since we know Paul preached and taught the gospel correctly, and when his enemies heard what he taught, they accused him of preaching a license to sin, we might say that if the we don't have people like @Phoneman-777 accusing us of preaching sin, we are probably not teaching salvation accurately.

clearly we are not preaching a license to sin, nor was Paul. it is in fact the very same great grace He has shown me that compels me to do what is right in my life, and to walk with Him.

No, I defined OSAS - perhaps the most unBiblical of all false doctrine - as a License to Sin, because that's exactly what it is: a license that allows the "Christian" to escape the same punishment for doing the exact same thing the unlicensed sinner will suffer.
you also misrepresented the fact that all of us have sin and are in need of our Saviour as an excuse to do no good or righteous thing.
It is not a "fact" that all of us have deliberate, habitual, known sin in our lives: that belongs to the OSAS crowd who refuses to repent from which they know they ought. Repent now and avoid the rush at doomsday, bro - it'll be too late.

I neither express or imply that belief in Ephesians 2:8-9 KJV is a OSAS License to Sin - to the contrary, it is the means by which we can fulfill our noble creation "unto good works" God intended for us from the beginning before the Fall.

It is the OSAS crowd which refuses to take hold of the Creator's ennobling hand, preferring the muck and the filth of the slime pit of sin, into which they willfully climb down, sit comfortably among the filth, swat away the ennobling, uplifting hand of Jesus, and shove their OSAS "License to Sin" in His face.

So, now you compare the worthless opinions of those who refused to accept the Christ Paul preached in his day with we Christians today who not only accept Christ, but the Christ of Scripture, not that made up "Christ" you and the rest of the OSAS crowd invented?

The Biblical Christ we worship asks you who refuse to worship, "And why call ye Me Lord Lord and do not the things which I say?"

Just more confirmation that when you proclaim the faithfulness of God and a salvation by His grace, not of yourself but by His mercy, you are immediately accused of excusing sin and doing nothing good.

then you, just like everyone who also came to this thread in the last 152,000 pages to falsely accuse the brethren before you, have utterly mischaracterized the firm hope of our salvation, presenting a strawman predicated on a false, imaginary & ineffective definition of 'salvation' in which there is no supernatural work of Christ -- seeking to proselytize us into the common error of depending on your own will, desire and effort to justify you before God.

But Christ as a son over His own house;
Whose house are we,
if we hold fast the confidence and the rejoicing of the hope firm unto the end.
(Hebrews 3:6)
we are Christ's house if we hold fast the confidence of our joyous hope.
that hope is not in our own works but in His work.
that hope is not confident if we doubt His faithfulness toward us, instead looking towards our own works for justification.

with high probability, you will immediately again falsely accuse me of hating good works & seeking sin on the singular basis that my soul has a firm assurance from God & i have put my trust in Him rather than myself.
just like all who go before you.
just like every enemy of the gospel.

No, when you insist nobody can keep the law, by default you incriminate yourself as one who is trying to obtain by dead faith that which can only be obtained by living faith: eternal life.

Wow. Your willingness to bear false witness rarely fails to astound. Good job pretending you are sinless/keep the commandments while you constantly go about sinning and breaking the commandments. Satan must be very proud of you. Yes, your sin is deliberate and habitual.

Your presumptuous belief that grace will cover deliberate, habitual, known, presumptuous sin will be your undoing because you refuse to believe the plain words of Scripture:

"He that covereth his sin (wihty a OSAS License to Sin) shall not prosper, but whoso confesseth AND forsaketh them shall have mercy". - Proverbs 28:13 KJV

Have faith in God.
(Mark 11:22)
Faith without works is dead faith, because its evidence Christ is not on the throne of the heart performing works of faith through us. Living faith produces good works while OSAS dead faith produces fuel for the Lake of Fire.

You recently said you have loving concern for OSAS believers yet your above comment is a typical one in which there is no love or concern.
It's called "tough love" much like when Jesus told the Jews they were of their father the devil. There were two kinds of Jews that day: the ones who got insulted and wanted to stone Him and the ones who realized the truth He spoke and repented. Which are you?

Do you keep this commandment: "have faith in God"?

Yep, there's those claws, fangs, and horns I was talking about LOL

You're confusing condemnation of doctrine with condemnation of the one who teaches it, the latter of which I don't perform, but your emotionalism blinds you to the difference. As I've said before, if you spent a fraction of your time studying Scripture that you spend on your "art" while sitting in your OSAS echo chamber, you might learn something.
