The devil's have ran this country for a while now, we were, as a country, too busy consuming from 1950- now and got distracted by the rat race and keeping up with the neighbors.....that compounded by the rebellious nature sown into us by rock and roll and tv and playboy, then those people had kids and treated them like children till they were 22 and let them be raised by Disney and MTV, then those kids used iPads to raise their kids. No fear of God IS the root of it all. We were all tricked by sin disguised as comfort and blessings. When I look back at my childhood and how much of the culture was poured into me, I feel like I was molested... like my innocence was subtly taken year after year.

My prayers go out to his family, to his parents. I hope they know that this was not their fault, that their son made his own decisions. I wish I could pray for the perpetrator, but he is dead and his fate sealed. I see him as the same as myself, guilty of the whole law and in need of a savior.
Bless the holy name of Jesus, who's blood covers ALL sin.

I cannot say I find any disagreement with your premise. I myself had lived in willful ignorance from adolescence to adulthood. I’m a man without excuse. Hope in Jesus is all there is. Without Him, there is no hope and too many people live without that hope. May God have mercy us.

Nsny oeiple still drive above speed limits . But I glad we got speed limits on our roads

Laws are for tri readibe
1. make punishable breaking of law .
2. Discourage majority of people from doing wrong thing

USA really needs to look closely at its gun rules and enforce any rules currently in place

If only criminals have guns then arrest them and make the punishment suit the crime

The suppliers of gubs too have rules to obey , enforce those rules

the killer often in school shootings is rarely as criminal before the shooting so the jsutifciation to not change rules due to criminals can still get guns is irrelevant.

I agree somewhat with what you are saying. Most people don't know that something like 70% of shooters have no father in the home. I don't know enough about his upbringing to say his parents didn't contribute to this, but he did make his own decision to do this and he will answer for it before God.

The Bible doesn't say there is anything wrong with having money, the wrong is when we forget God. Many stood against the wrong of their day and kept their children from it. And they have done so for many years. I know my sister has continued prayer time and Bible study with her boys. The oldest graduates this year. They went to Christian school for a time and then back to public school, but she faithfully continued prayer and study every night. But of them attend church and play in the church band. So it is not hopeless. We must pray over our children, ask for God's protection and raise them as much as possible in the right path. God will honor those efforts in the end.

He's saying that very few of the perpetrators in school shootings were already criminals at the time. Preventing criminals from obtaining guns would not have prevented these attacks.

At the risk of derailing the thread...

The local radio announcer was lamenting the school shootings. She went on to talk about gun violence against abortion doctors... clearly oblivious to her own hypocrisy.

If we pass more gun laws, criminals will still find ways to get guns.

If we pass abortion laws, women will still find ways to get abortions.

Yet we have no problem with restricting freedom for one, while vehemently defending the freedom of the other.

We're not against murdering our children.

We're just against how we murder them.

the argument of gun control or more guns are sidebars to the real issues. What has been consistent in every school shooting?

  1. all males young
  2. drug or substance buses issues
  3. broken homes
  4. parent or family member allowed access to guns
  5. anger and emotionally troubled
  6. the family hid these issues
  7. Schools hid these issues
The home and the school have failed. they teach no respect, and the schools do not enforce the rules, dress codes, or discipline unless it is serious actions. Which school cannot hide during the school day. PARENTS ARE NOT CALLED many are told schools to deal with it. The very 18-year-old who did this shooting shot his grandmother first why? because he was angry he did not graduate.

a small community where everyone knows everyone yet, they all said nothing and did nothing. But politicians cry takes guns and others will cry we need more guns but the issue is

No respect for life and abandonment of God 1. in the home 2. respect for elders 3. fear of God 4. love your children to discipline them before they become monsters.

The issue isn't more or less people with guns. The issue is who has the guns. Criminals will always get a gun. More gun laws just take guns away from lawful gun owners.

There are gun laws on the books now that are not being followed. But in the majority of these situations, more gun laws wouldn't have helped. So you're only taking guns from lawful gun owners and not helping a thing. But the glaring issue people don't want to face for some reason is mental health. Make those laws stricter and you will see a vast change in crime I believe.

Abortions have zip to do with freedom, so that's a poor comparison and argument to use.
