I like it :D

Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young - Almost Cut My Hair
I grew up listening to the album Deja Vu, because my parents listened to it. It is one of the best-selling albums of all time.

Hmmmm attention getter. I mostly read it for the comments though. Really don't care if a person has hair or not.

It really is excellent... I listened to it a lot. I think it tends to be forgotten,
maybe; certainly it is always nice for me to be reminded of it. It would
likely be on my top ten list if I was stranded on an island LOL.

I'm not sure what a person's hair looks like has anything to do with true beauty.🤔
Well, some hairstyles are truly unbeautiful :D All I have to do is think of the average wokester.

But... I am personally of the mind that we should all do what we can with what God's given us. Some, many, will say, "the outward doesn't count", but we all know that depending on the situation or relationship, it does bear at least some significance, if not more than some. People don't want to admit this, but it's the truth.

We won't all be equally beautiful outwardly. The Twilight Zone addressed this a couple of times, and it produced dystopian societies. Neither are we all equally smart or talented. But, that does not mean that we should let ourselves go and not try. Outward / external / visual beauty exists for a reason. It enhances the quality of life. It shows self-respect. Self-respect is attractive. It also has some practical benefits.

So... while there is an inner beauty that is looks-independent (I recall a big crush I had in college on a very average-looking girl), God created visual beauty for a reason, and it should not be crapped on in the name of being more spiritual. (Not saying you crapped on it Tam... but in general, whenever this subject is brought up, it seems like an awful lot of people think physical beauty is the same as being physically homely. And, I doubt they really believe something that absurd.)

Not sure what the OP's point was, though -- unless he's just a fan of long hair on women, instead of some of the shaved / bizarro styles we're seeing the past couple of decades.

huh, I never considered these problems

hair getting stuck in your butt crack...
being immobilised in your bed when your sleeping partner rolls on it
hair getting stuck to your lipstick
styling it 50 times a day
all that washing, brushing and combing...
sweaty necks
when you wear a backpack or shoulder bag, your hair getting stuck in the straps
beware of blowing out candles....

I have to keep my daughters hair shorter. She gets this rats nest and it didn’t matter what we use her hair always gets tangled
We were "forced' as children/young girls to have our locks shorn at the end of every school
year/beginning of summer. Which really was probably a very good idea given summer weather ;)

Unfortunately I am horrible with hair. I just buy good shampoo and conditioner and adequate brushes. Shes only 6 and better than I am with ponytails and stuff

I prefer long hair on a woman. But I think the idea of not cutting her hair is a misinterpretation of scripture. Long hair doesn't work for everyone. Paul had a purpose for the things he said, but it's not always easy to figure out why. We are not a live around the time period he said it. I've seen various ideas on this subject. But logic will tell you that not all women can support long hair.

Six is very young! You have many years of parenting ahead of you yet. Blessings to you in that. My own daughter never went through wanting to be girly as a child or even a teenager, which is a blessing, really, considering how some teen girls dress and what they chase after. She's been altogether quite sensible in many respects. She does put her long hair in pony tails or a bun a lot, probably because it is easier and especially for work. I bought her two very good brushes: a softer one to untangle, and a more sturdy/bristly one to really stimulate the scalp. My hair is longish, but I keep it tied up, twisted, folded, and secured, at the nape of my neck. I am very low maintenance LOL
