The Chosen

The Chosen is a Great Example of Good Christians working together to try to fulfil the Great Commission Commandment of spreading Christ's Name and His Gospel to All Nations. They aim to share the Gospel with at least 1 Billion People by the time all 7 Seasons are over. So far, they reached over 300 MN, or 30% of their target. Lets pray for the Chosen's Greater Success, and for the Gospel's Spread.

Through August 2020, it had been viewed nearly 50 million times in 180 countries.[32] By the end of March 2021, the first season had been viewed more than 100 million times.[33] By June 2021, the series has been watched 150 million times and has been translated into 50 languages.[34]

In July 2021, The Chosen reached 200 million views worldwide.[35] By August 14, 2021, it was reported that it had crossed 300 million viewers worldwide.[36]

The series' success is attributed to artistic storytelling and cultural relevance, while staying true to the message of the gospels.[6] Writing in Film Threat, Alan Ng called the series "smart and insightful to a contemporary audience."[37]

And that was why it was recorded as a special exception...

The thing is is that a Schmeekah Rabbi couldn't talk with Gentiles...and Jesus said "I was only sent TO ISRAEL " meaning that he came for all of us but only to the Jews.

I'm not saying that the whole thing is trash....
Just that it's a very populist message...not entirely accurate and having a very humanist Jesus instead of the Jesus who really was.

On this we agree. Unfortunately millions will watch and think they're getting the true gospel.

That's all well and good but the fact is they add to the scriptures.

Think about it, they couldn't make a dime off this project if they stuck strictly to the word of Yahweh; no one would watch or invest for the same reasons they don't read the scriptures. The scriptures alone aren't exciting enough or politically correct enough.

If you researched this series then I'm sure you noticed that one of the main reasons for the whole thing is ecumenism: that is, false unity.

I don't think so necessarily. But if a person does their homework and still thinks this show was created for anything other than a money-making venture it already shows little discernment.

Its creators mix truth with fiction and call it "as close to the word of God as possible." In other words, they haven't stuck to the word of Yahweh but have added whatever was necessary to put butts in the seats and keep the investments rolling in.

If it was marketed as part truth/part fiction that would be better; but they don't. They want people to thing they're getting the true gospel.

Any one have photos of tress, mountains, streams, stars, sunsets ,beautiful moon glowing on the water? IF it is ok today because of Grace then extend that Grace to our brothers.

Which is it? He NEVER spoke to Gentiles or there was an exception and He spoke to a Gentile?? You made an absolute statement that wasn't true. For all we know, Jesus spoke to lots of Gentiles.

Also, Jesus did a lot of things that were considered "forbidden" or taboo. Such as speaking to the Samaritan woman alone, at the well. Where were his messengers or intermediaries there?

Is it, though? If I tell someone who has never heard the Bible a portion of it and then tell them, "I encourage you to read the gospel", should that be a red flag that I'm lying?? Or is it just an encouragement to get into the Word and read the truth for themselves?
