The richest people on planet, hmmm. I have often been tempted to buy a lotto ticket.
I have often prayed for money, in my early years of been saved.
I had not yet learned to secret of been content whatever the situation was.

Php_4:11 Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content.

To become rich and have very little money is a blessing in disguise.

And it can only come from God who richly gives us all things to enjoy.

The apostle Paul made many people rich when he preached the gospel on his journeys.

2Co_6:10 As sorrowful, yet alway rejoicing; as poor, yet making many rich; as having nothing, and yet possessing all things.

God is rich in mercy.

Eph_2:4 But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us,

Christ died for our sins. That is the gospel.

1Co 15:3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;
1Co 15:4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:

That is what Paul preached to make many rich.

Money has nothing to do with happiness or having peace with God.

What you do with the gospel is monumental towards where you will spend eternity when you die, or if Christ comes when you are alive.
If you are alive when He comes it wll not be a good place to be if you have not believed or obeyed the gospel of Christ.

2Th 1:8 In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ:
2Th 1:9 Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power;

I too put way too much effort into chasing riches. Almost became a bitcoin millionaire. Played the lottery a bit. Played a good deal of Texas Hold 'Em. Bought stocks.

Made a fair bit of money. Lost most of it again. Came close to fortune but never quite made it. You know what I eventually realized?

We Christians are playing life by a different set of rules. The unsaved are permitted to prosper in this world because this is all they will ever have. This is as good as it gets. Live it up, you poor pitiful fools.

But whom God loves, He chastens. Whom God loves, He refines, and that means incredible suffering. Those He loves more, I think will suffer more. It is an honor to suffer with Christ. Even as I speak these words, knowing they are true, I don't really understand.

Bottom line: if it's not in God's plan for you to be rich, Christian, don't bother trying because you never will be.

There is not one verse in any of Paul's epistles telling us to become a Christian.
Read what I said about believing the gospel; Paul's gospel. That is how to be saved.

I was in complete agreement with you until this. Now we are just playing semantical games with no purpose.

Act_11:26 And when he had found him, he brought him unto Antioch. And it came to pass, that a whole year they assembled themselves with the church, and taught much people. And the disciples were called Christians first in Antioch.

^ And since that time the early church took that label to themselves because it fit what they were trying to be: "Little Christs." There are many labels but we generally understand them to mean the same thing. "Born again." "Christ-follower." "Followers of the way." "CHRISTIAN." Yes, that latter one has been somewhat sullied of late by the world and by backslidden believers and false believers. But I, for one, am not going to abandon that term because it CAPTURES EXACTLY WHAT THE CHRIST-FOLLOWER SHOULD ASPIRE TO BE.

I am a follower of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, in case I was unclear at any point.

I used to think that money is a evil thing. I didn't know that money is not a bad thing until I realized Satan.

If you can make a lot of money through your efforts, if you can make a lot of money through your knowledge, then do it!

When it's time,Give your money to the homeless, not to charitable foundations.

Good advice. So many "charities" take those funds and enrich themselves. You could also give to a trustworthy church or ministry to distribute funds for you.

Money is just a tool. It's the LOVE of money that is the root of all evil.

The difference between what Paul wrote about and what Christ wrote about centers on Christ telling us how to live as belonging to God, not the world, and Paul's teaching about how to be saved.

We think of Christ becoming a man in order to save us from our sins, but Christ said he was sent to tell us to repent for the kingdom of heaven is at hand. See Matt. 3:2 and Matt. 4:17.

To be great in the world is very different from being great in God's kingdom. We belong to he kingdom of heaven when we accept Christ.

We are not told to " follow the gospel of Jesus Christ" We are to believe it for salvation. The gospel Christ gave Paul.

Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal: But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal:”

we have an inheritance waiting it’s just not meant to be cashed in on earth but we have something greater but we have to have faith and see it far off before we get there

“But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.

But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.”

Your post does not agree with scripture.

Paul is taught by Christ, Paul is an apostle. That means he was personally taught by Christ. With Paul, this was a miracle for it was after Christ was crucified that Paul was taught by Christ in Arabia. Gal_1:17 Neither went I up to Jerusalem to them which were apostles before me; but I went into Arabia, and returned again unto Damascus.

Paul is only an apostle, Christ is God. We listen to God not man although Paul only spoke what Christ told him to speak.

It was said that what Christ came to tell us was: Matt. 4:17 From that time on Jesus began to preach, “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven has come near.”

In the prayer Christ told us to pray it says: "thy kingdom come; thy will be done; on earth as it is in heaven."

This fellow's first post was good, but he seems to be baiting people in so he can play semantical games. I've noticed a lot of users doing this here on CC sadly. Satan stirring up strife. I'm just going to unfollow this thread and disengage. And if he's persistent, use the "ignore" feature. Had to do so a couple times already since joining.

Read the following 2 passages: Rev 2v8-11(Smyrna), 3v14-22 (Laodicea)!

One was monetarily poor, but spiritually rich, the other monetarily wealthy, but spiritually bankrupt!

Money has a (spiritually) corrupting influence upon a believer; again, and again the Lord Jesus warned against seeking after money and wealth while we live upon earth!

There are VERY few Christians who have the capability of the use of wealth correctly so that it doesn't corrupt their spirituality!

His answer, Matt 6v25-34 (esp v33): "But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you."

According to Paul, and if I may, all with faith, dthere is only one Gospel.
of course and it’s not mysterious that he was preaching this gospel

“And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭24:14‬ ‭KJV‬‬

i mean who could read his epistles and not notice it

“And Paul dwelt two whole years in his own hired house, and received all that came in unto him, Preaching the kingdom of God, and teaching those things which concern the Lord Jesus Christ, with all confidence, no man forbidding him.”
‭‭Acts‬ ‭28:30-31‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Same thing the other apostles were doing before Paul came along and was converted to the church

“And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.”
‭‭Mark‬ ‭16:15-16‬ ‭KJV‬‬

the idea of differing gospels for jew and gentile is a construct to avoid the only gospel.

Paul to the church
“Be ye therefore followers of God, as dear children; And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweetsmelling savour.

But fornication, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not be once named among you, as becometh saints; Neither filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor jesting, which are not convenient: but rather giving of thanks.

For this ye know, that no whoremonger, nor unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, hath any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God.

Let no man deceive you with vain words: for because of these things cometh the wrath of God upon the children of disobedience.”
‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭5:1-6‬ ‭KJV‬‬

paul to the church

“Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.”
‭‭Galatians‬ ‭5:19-21‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Of he wasn’t preaching the gospel of the kingdom I wonder why he was teaching about inheriting the kingdom Jesus promised ? And teaching the same exact things

“For this cause we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to desire that ye might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding; That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God; Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light: Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son: In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins: Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature: For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him: And he is before all things, and by him all things consist. And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence.”
‭‭Colossians‬ ‭1:9-10, 12-18‬ ‭KJV‬‬

it’s really a fancy way of saying “ Jesus words and judgements aren’t for you you don’t want to believe what Jesus said believe this one wuote from pul
Instead that’s the real gospel

but when you read Paul that’s not the case he’s doing the same thing every apostle did fulfilling the great commission tomoresch the gospel to the world and offer salvstion into the kingdom of God

it’s really a terrible doctrine people grab onto it trying to find another way that sounds conditionless without repentance or changing our ways
