I will speak from my own experience.

After my Mom died,I couldn't handle loosing my support system so I became angry at God for taking her, which was her desire. There was much more trouble in my life at the time and it seemed as if God didn't care.

I began to shun the things I knew were pleasing to God,prayer, study, fellowship with him and others.
It became easier and easier to rebell, even though I was filled with the Spirit.

I eased my way into outright sinning. Alcohol, drugs, sex, ignoring the Spirit's woeing. I rejected it all as I rejected God.

Just like the Father didn't know where the prodical was at and go after him,I wanted God to leave me alone.

I do believe that a person can sin, turn their back on God,die in that condition and pay the ultimate judgment. FOREVER SEPERATED FROM GOD!

I was in this condition for about 15 yrs.
Same as the prodical,I woke up and realized my condition was dire. God comes to those who are of a broken spirit and a contrite heart.

When the Spirit began to bring conviction I didn't resist, but REPENTED AND DID MY FIRST WORKES OVER,RETURNING TO MY FIRST LOVE!

The devil does wish to steal from God and it is souls he wants.

I thank God for the enormous love and forgiveness he possess.

I think we divide the word wrongly in ourselves by saying "well they were not of us". I cannot speak to the incorruptible and corrupttible seed, but I tell you this at this time of backsliding,I was not of God nor for God.
Before however,I truly was a born again believer and the Spirit was working abundantly in my life!

This is a dangerous place to be,for once Satan has you away from God the corruption is as deep as he can get you to go.

Praise be to Jesus for paying the price for all sins when we confess and repent and turn away from them!
I do believe that a person can sin, turn their back on God,die in that condition and pay the ultimate judgment. FOREVER SEPERATED FROM GOD!
So then you agree that the Incorruptible seed can be corrupted.
The bible does say that those who have had their Spirit made perfect will seek to purify themselves even as their Spirit Is pure.(talking about renewing the mind to the new creation you have become)The question really though,Is,does a person lose their salvation If they don't come back and I think you are saying yes, and If so then the Incorruptible seed Is not Incorruptible, right?

I am saying the heart, soul and spirit of someone who baskslides or falls away is corrupted, unclean and as Jesus said NOT fit for the kingdom.

God's grace at our repentance is a mystery we cannot understand BC of our finite minds. We have all these perceptions that may or may not be right.

Yes the gift of God can be lost BC of corrupt sin in a soul and no I do not know at what level of sin.

Flesh is corrupt and when we give in to the flesh and continue on then I believe the heart becomes hardened and the soul is corrupted.

All know I DO NOT believe in OSAS.

I think too many people put a surety of what they think they know.
Let's look at Peter on the sea walking to Jesus, when he looked away ( lose of faith) he sank.
Sometimes the storm can be so great we cannot see as in a snow or dust storm.
We have to EXAMINE OURSELVES DAILY, and cling to him. It is easier than you think to be overtaken BC we are flesh!

I think that is an improper statement, "incorruptible seed can be corrupted" or not!

We are fallen man by way of Adam's sin. Paul has shown us we have a sin nature that lives in us.

We are not incorruptible in this life, that comes at the resurrection when the corruptible becomes incorruptible, the mortal puts on the immortal.

Would you agree that the corruptible part of the born again person Is the flesh body/mind and the Incorruptible part that GOD made perfect In the born again Christian Is the Spirit?
But can the flesh cause a person’s Incorruptible seed to become corrupted and they are forever lost Or will GOD look at the Spirt of the just man made perfect?

I think the incorruptible seed means after being after born again...not before ..eg after our resurrection
We are saved TO be born again.

spirit vs flesh, The flesh can be corrupted, the spirit in cant if that makes sense. The spirit can depart from your flesh body.

As for backslidden (I have a hard time picturing a backslider...simply because I dont know anyone who slides on their BACK, usuually people slide forwards on their bottoms on a playground slide...and its fun, not a terrible thing to do)

I think it refers to someone, like Lots Wife, who looked back. She was turned into a pillar of salt. God did everything he could to rescue Lot and his family, but Lots daughters still commited incest with him.

When we sin we sin body, soul and spirit!

My point is that as Paul says, we are given a down-payment on our salvation, the Holy Spirit. By faith in Christ we are as saved as we will ever be, BUT, we have to hold on to that faith in Christ in order for our salvation to be completed at the resurrection.

If for whatever reason you no longer have faith in Christ, you will not obtain the resurrection of life where your salvation is paid in full and you become as Christ, perfect.

It's such an ultra-simple concept to grasp.
Not sure what you mean, make It point to understand,YES or NO

No one wants to make It plain and say that the corruptible seed (flesh) can corrupt what the Bible calls the Incorruptible seed (the Spirit of the just man that GOD made perfect.

In Him, having heard and believed the word of truth—the gospel of your salvation—
you were sealed with the promised Holy Spirit, Who is the pledge of our inheritance
until the redemption of those who are God’s possession, to the praise of His glory.
From Ephesians 1:13-14 :)

I was agreeing with the point that you had made, which is that what has been deemed as Incorruptible cannot become corrupt. If the Incorruptible could become corrupt, then it could not be deemed as Incorruptible.

We are "Sealed" - Note the capitol S. :D

What is Sealed by God cannot be opened, just as what has been deemed Incorruptible cannot become corrupt.

I checked multiple translations, and none of them capitalized the "s" of "seal" or "sealed."

I certainly agree that the incorruptible cannot be corrupted :D

Of course . . . I used that for emphasis. :) - My capital S is not Scriptural . . . just personal emphasizing to establish a sense of Holiness in this amazing Work of the Lord. See? I did it again with the "W". :D

Does backsliding mean that a person has to get saved again, does It mean that the Incorruptible seed can be corrupted?
No. As a believer, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins:

"For if we sin willfully after we have received the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins, but a certain fearful expectation of judgment, and fiery indignation which will devour the adversaries."

And also:

“The LORD will judge His people."

What this does NOT mean is that we're toast if we sin after being saved. It means we are unable to be born again, again.

The remedy for sin as a believer is confession and repentance.

Now, by sinning again, we lose one of our salvations: the salvation from the pursuit of our enemy, who is spiritual. Because of sin he regains the right to harass us. Once we seal with the sin we also deal with his right to pursue us.

what do you mean by backsliding ?

making mistakes and repenting ? Or turning away from God ?

chrirts doctrine is designed for imperfect people who struggle at times and make mistakes so one of the core principles is how we judge others whether with mercy or with unforgiving judgement will be applied to us .

a perfect person without any sin or need for mercy wouldnt get the value of this doctrine but repentant sinners will always see it’s immense value

Be ye therefore merciful, as your Father also is merciful. Judge not, and ye shall not be judged: condemn not, and ye shall not be condemned: forgive, and ye shall be forgiven:

Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall be given into your bosom.

For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.”
‭‭Luke‬ ‭6:36-

if we live and act as those who will
Be judged according to that law of Christ the law of mercy for the merciful . Then we really can’t “fall away “ it’s the center and compass of the gospel

“Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭5:7‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“So speak ye, and so do, as they that shall be judged by the law of liberty. For he shall have judgment without mercy, that hath shewed no mercy;

and mercy rejoiceth against judgment.”
‭‭James‬ ‭2:12-13‬ ‭KJV‬‬

If we fall away from mercy towards others we are falling away from our own mercy that’s really what we can’t be like the judgemental religious folk demanding perfection from others when they fail to shine Christs light on themselves first

if we’re judgemental and demanding in what we share about God with others and present a demanding unmerciful God to them that’s going to be our judgement when we face God for our deeds but if we’re merciful hat day when we do this

“For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.”
‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭5:10‬ ‭KJV‬‬

we can expect mercy by Gods promise in the gospel we all have sinned and have to face judgement for the bad things and good things we’ve done . We can have a judgement according to the letter and rules or a judgement according to what Christ the judge said for us to believe and follow

“to fall away “ is a pretty ambiguous term. Which people interpret many ways

what do you mean by falling away ?
