Not according to scrippture. Psalm 19-9 Reverence for the LORD is pure, lasting forever. The laws of the LORD are true; each one is fair.

You are getting the law mixed up with the fleshly type commands given as schoolmasters to guide people to law obedience. Now we are given the law in our hearts, directly not through the flesh. Why should I go back to learning God's ways that way now we are in the new covenant and learn of God's ways heart to heart?
You are quick to quote Paul in Galatians, not understanding what he is saying. But you don't want to quote Paul in Rom. 3:31,

"Do we then make void the law through faith? God forbid: yea, we establish the law."

The Law is established (God forbid I should say such a thing) by the fact that it represented and symbolized Christ. He fulfilled the Law and the Law found its end in Christ. This establishes the Law.

So according to you Paul is a legalist by saying the Law is not made void through faith!

You don't understand the Law/Christ relationship to the believer and you don't want to understand it.

What you want to do, Grandpa, is condemn everyone that doesn't see the Law in your narrow view!
You are the one who has it wrong. Read Galatians 3.

It is YOU who have no idea what Paul is saying.

You think Paul in Romans 3:31 is contradicting Paul in Galatians????

That SHOWS you have no idea what Romans 3:31 says.

And that shows your complete FAIL at understanding Paul.

AND the Law.

You don't understand the Law/Christ relationship to the believer and you don't want to understand it.
I've shown you the relationship that Christians have to the Law with SCRIPTURE.

Galatians 2:19 For I through the law am dead to the law, that I might live unto God.

Galatians 3:24-25
24 Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith.
25 But after that faith is come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster.

What you want to do, Grandpa, is condemn everyone that doesn't see the Law in your narrow view!
I'm not the one who condemns. Its the law that condemns.

Galatians 3:10 For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse: for it is written, Cursed is every one that continueth not in all things which are written in the book of the law to do them.

And again I say you don't understand it! A legalist (it appears to be one of your casting stones) is someone who tries to keep the Law of their own ability.

The establishment of the Law in Christ, and I speak as Paul did of the moral Law, the 10 commandments, is not kept by ones own ability but by faith that the commandments will be fulfilled in us by Christ.

The Law itself is not to be condemned as you often do, the trying to keep it of our own ability is to be condemned.

The Law itself is good and holy as Paul said! Rom. 7:12.

You speak as Paul did...:ROFL::ROFL:

Show somewhere in scripture where Paul calls the Ministry of Death and Condemnation the "moral" law.

A legalist is someone who compares themselves to the law. Who calls it the "moral" law. Who claims obedience to the law. Who claims the law is our "moral" guide.

You can try to hide behind your Christianese. But your own words will find you out. And if the term "legalist" fits why not wear it proudly? Why try to hide from it? I wouldn't, if I were a legalist. I would be truthful.

LOL! You're a funny guy, Grandpa. All the explaining is a waste of my time for me!

I've already shown you the truth of Law as Paul gave it, but some are determined to overlook it!

But life goes on, Grandpa!

The whole reason the law was introduced in the first place was because the Hebrew people rejected Gods Grace. ?
That can be compared to saying the whole reason the constitution of the US was introduced was-----then give something like the only reason for the Constitution was that there are criminals in the world.

To be a citizen of a nation in the world you are to study its constitution, to be a citizen of the kingdom Christ tells us of, you must study its laws.

The citizens of the kingdom of God are not subject to the Law of the nation of Israel, any more than the citizens of the kingdom of Sweden are subject to the Law of the United States.

Romans 13:1 Let every person be subject to the governing authorities.

Well, the constitution of the US gives the reason in its preamble.

We the People of the United States, in order to form a more perfect union, establish justice, insure domestic tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general welfare, and secure the blessings of liberty to ourselves and our posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.

Everyone who rejects Gods Grace gets the Law instead. Still, to this day.

Once people receive Gods Grace they are delivered from that Law of sin and death. And they can see the error of the ancient Hebrews.

What in the world are you thinking saying this "instead" stuff? Are you trying to use the law, not as a guide to living with the Lord in your heart but as a way to be saved? If that is you idea, it will not work.

No. I made a simple, direct statement.

No mention of salvation, justification, or "guide". Nor did I mention "instead".

I said once people receive Gods Grace they are delivered from that Law of sin and death.

Matthew 11:28 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

Rest from what?

Galatians 2:19 For I through the law am dead to the law, that I might live unto God.

Another simple, and direct statement. Pretty self-explanitory.

Galatians 3:10 For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse: for it is written, Cursed is every one that continueth not in all things which are written in the book of the law to do them.

For people who are "using" the law as a "guide".

Galatians 5:1 Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.

Further instruction to NOT use the law as a "guide".

Romans 8:2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.

Isn't it great?
