I wonder if the best we can do is to follow the OT. After being in a very complicated belief system and in their eyes failing, I do my best to follow Micah 6:8, loosely it says to love Justice and Mercy and to walk humbly beside God.

Why are you so hesitant to answer the questions? You are making statements and since you seem to reject the new covenant, I'm asking you to give me a picture of how you love God and walk humbly with him.

How do we love God and walk humbly with him? Put him first in all things. He comes before family, friends, and even our own selves. We walk with him in the Spirit.

This is pretty simple so why someone feels the need to question others over the statement is beyond me.

Maybe the person continues asking this question because they truly don't know how to love God.

If we love God we will also love others.

We don't try to esteem ourselves above our brothers and sisters or try to be lords over God's heritage. We make ourselves examples of his love toward others.

Also, from reading your first post you quoted Micah 6:8 which is talking about morally leading a good life etc. Leading a good life and doing good to your fellow man does not get you into heaven. Putting your faith and trust in Jesus Christ and Him only is what saves you. At Matthew 16:13 Jesus ask His disciples, "Who do people say that the Son of Man is?" That's the question? If you have the wrong Jesus your lost. So according to you, who is He? And one more thing, we all are sinners, and bad ones at that., but it seems to me you don't really consider yourself "forgiven." Please read 1 John 5:11-12
