Dear Friend i am lol x100 right now - Here is why.....

The Spiritual aspect of the Law is FREEDOM through the Blood sacrifice of Jesus Christ.
Where was the blood of the lamb placed?
On the MERCY SEAT
Where was the Law
Kept Under the MERCY SEAT

So our Lord's butt sits on the Law - That is what HE thinks about your righteousness through the Law.
So your interpretation of where the law is in comparison to the mercy seat is your proof of an abolished law?

I'm a little 'late in the game', so to speak.
We no longer keep the ceremonial laws of the OT, but we keep the moral laws as they are brought into the NT by Jesus Himself.
I hope this helps.

Where does it say he fulfilled the law again?
When He sacrificed Himself on the cross, bearing the burden of a sinful world, and then declared, "it is finished". This began a new covenant. We are no longer under the law but under grace. What does this mean to you?

Exactly! His Blood was shed for the New Covenant.

Matthew 26:28 (NKJV)
28 For this is My blood of the new covenant, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.

Jesus said:
“Don’t misunderstand why I have come. I did not come to abolish the law of Moses or the writings of the prophets. No, I came to accomplish their purpose. Matthew 5:17

My Savior fulfilled the Righteous Requirements of the Law and He FINISHED it on the Cross - never for us to be subject to it's curses and condemnation ever again - It is FINISHED.

Are you more Righteous then Abraham?

That's quite a comment to give no Scripture.
On the Seventh Day God Rested - This is quite a comment on TRUTH from (drum roll please) - GOD.

And by the seventh day God had finished the work He had been doing; so on that day He rested from all His work - Genesis

Yes, He finished it on the cross!
Some brains popped on here because i said this marvelous Truth:

JESUS is our Sabbath Rest - Jesus said : I did not come to destroy but to fulfill.
We are under the command of God to obey His Sabbath Rest - anyone that refuses OR works on His Sabbath shall never see LIFE.

Undeniable PROOF
For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that everyone who believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.
For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through Him.
Whoever believes in Him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe has already been condemned, because he has not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son. John 3: 16-18

Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you REST.
Matthew 11: 28

So would you say - what the Father sent the Son to accomplish, by giving us Eternal REST, is not good?

Hopefully now you see and rejoice - Peace to you and blessing = JESUS the only Sabbath REST man can obey and find REST.

It's always best when applicable to quote the necessary scripture(s) when dealing with conflicting posts. That way, if a person argues, they argue with the Word, not you. :)

I think that that the phrase "it is finished" is too vague of a statement to draw the conclusion that it means an abolished law. I could tell u an interpretation that would fit along with my beliefs about the rest of scripture, but this scripture alone can be interpreted many ways.

Its possible that it could mean the end of a covenant, but new covenant doesn't mean new law.

That statement isn't in the least bit vague to me. He didn't abolish the law, he fulfilled it. I don't know why this is so difficult to grasp.
