Evidently you just don't see what the scripture verses actually state.

The scripture actually states "To Him all the prophets witness that, through His name, whoever believes in Him will receive remission of sins.” Now notice what occurs in verses 47-48: Peter commands them to be water baptized in the name of the Lord.

Peter said everyone was to be baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus for the remission of sin on the Day of Pentecost. And Ananias told Paul to be baptized and wash away his sin calling on the name of the Lord.
I do.
It's you who does not.

Were they saved before or after baptism.
Simple answer is yes they were or no they were not.
I say yes they were.
Now you.

Just so I can get a full understanding of what you are trying to convey I would also like to ask you.

Are we justified by faith or by baptism?

Thanks for answering.
So why was he saved?
The thief believed Jesus was the messiah. This is a condition of people in the NT as well. The word also expresses obligations that were necessary for those in the Old Testament just as there are one's in the New Testament.

can you show me in scripture where it says Pauls's sins were washed away?

That's possibly true, if the Thief is a JEW.
The bible does not tell us....so, maybe he'a a Greek.
Maybe he was a Roman soldier who stole some meat because he was hungry and tired of "rations".

What we know is that He's in Heaven, and he was not water baptize as you find it today.
So, any water baptism that he tried, was John the Baptist's, and that one isn't connected to the Cross, or Christ, as Jesus had not died on the Cross yet.
My guess is that he would not have been baptised if he was a Greek or Roman.
Why would he be baptised by a Jew if he was not one?

Whilst the baptism of John was not the baptism we have today was it not connected to the cross?

His baptism was a purification ceremony.
Preparing people for the way of Jesus who would preach the forgiveness of sins.
To acknowledge their sins and the need for a saviour.

Matthew 3:11
11 I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance, but He who is coming after me is mightier than I, whose sandals I am not worthy to carry. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire.

His sins were forgiven when he believed in Jesus.
Were his sins forgiven on the cross and accounted to him when he believed in the Lord Jesus?

Did Jesus himself say that we need to baptised to have our sins forgiven?
What you fail to accept is what the bible actually says. You must decide whether you believe God's word is true or not. Jesus sent Paul to Ananias and said Ananias would tell Paul what to do. Ananias told Paul to be baptized and wash away his sins calling upon the name of the Lord. This is a vivid picture of obedience to water baptism in the name of the Lord Jesus.

Again, you refuse to compare apples with apples.

That scripture does not pertain to the NT mandate associated with one's rebirth experience.
Paul, said by ANY works of righteousness. He did not leave room for some. But by Gods mercy.

He also told him how we were saved by the washing and renewal of the HS. Not by some paster who immerses you in water.

Your blasphemeing the HS by attributing his work to the work of Man.

So do you.
I have no problems telling belivers to be baptised.
If you had read one of my earlier posts I said it should be done straight away when someone places their faith in Jesus.

I don't believe baptism saves us.

Believe whatever you wish. I am just sharing scriptures from the word of God in hopes you will at one point see the truth.

Well, im here 2.5 weeks obo, and all he talks about is works and water.

What makes this type of situation Galatians 1:8 is that there are not several Redemptions or different Gospels.
There is just one.

Catholics and Jehovah Witness, have the same theology regarding water, as the JW's took a bit of theology from a few different groups, and their "water cult" theology, came from the "Cult of Mary'...(Catholic Church)
Its all he wants to teach.

You will get sick of it after awhile..

Both are required along with receiving the Holy Ghost.

Thank you for answering.

Mark 16:15-18
15 And He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. 16 He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned. 17 And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; 18 they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.”

Just want to ask you concerning 17-18.
Do you do any of the signs Jesus said we would do in his name?

So baptism is our justification before God?

can you show me in scripture where it says Pauls's sins were washed away?
Acts 22:15-16
For thou shalt be his witness unto all men of what thou hast seen and heard.
And now why tarriest thou? arise, and be baptized, and wash away thy sins, calling on the name of the Lord.

Both are required along with receiving the Holy Ghost.
Ok so what you are really saying if we are not baptised then we are not saved?
Therefore baptism saves?
If so then faith is not needed?

Post this verse please...I'm pretty sure it says that Ananias placed his hands upon Saul and Saul received the Holy Ghost. After that, Paul was baptized. Acts is a transitional book, not a doctrinal book.

As we say over here "Winner winner chicken dinner" not sure why but anyway.

You are correct

Here we go

Acts 9:17-19
17 And Ananias went his way and entered the house; and laying his hands on him he said, “Brother Saul, the Lord Jesus, who appeared to you on the road as you came, has sent me that you may receive your sight and be filled with the Holy Spirit.” 18 Immediately there fell from his eyes something like scales, and he received his sight at once; and he arose and was baptized.
19 So when he had received food, he was strengthened. Then Saul spent some days with the disciples at Damascus.

No mention of being baptised to wash away his sins.
He was filled with the Holy Spirit got his sight back and was baptised.

Amen, we can also go to Pauls letter to titus

NOT by works of righteousness which we have done (water baptism would be a work of righteousness we do) but by his mercy he saved us.
Verse 4 makes the context of the scripture you reference clear. Man did nothing to warrant God providing man with a Savior. It is His mercy that saves us through our obedience to His command of water baptism and receiving the gift of the Holy Ghost. Which is only made possible by Jesus Christ our Savior.

Titus 3:4-7
4 But after that the kindness and love of God our Saviour toward man appeared,
5 Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;
6 Which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour;
7 That being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life.
