Around the world has been catastrophic flooding, dam failures, mudslides, fires and drought. All being blamed on climate change and humans. While I do believe w are to be good stewards of what God gave us, I believe God is punishing the world for their unbelief and sin.

God used a flood to judge those who lived on the earth. A drought was used to force Jacob and his sons into Egypt to complete his purpose.

We reap what we sow..............
I also believe our Father has done nothing yet, it is al of our own making.

When Dad goes into action all will know. Those who despise Him will curse Him, while all who love Him will be expecting much good, all good out of His action.

To which he promised never to do again.
Doesn't seem like a punishment.
I thought hell was the punishment? So God is punishing twice? Including those who follow Him? That doesn't make sense.
Aren't these things signs of the end times, and not listed as punishments?
I have long found the notion of God running around punishing people, especially en masse, and indiscriminately, even against believers, to be more related to a Christian version of superstition.

Yes, He promised not to destroy the world again by a worldwide flood, but excessive rainfall and flooding still occurs in various countries. Hades (hell) is a temporary punishment; are not those in Hades rise in the second resurrection at the White Throne Judgement enter into their eternal home called the Lake of Fire. The various troubles we see in the world could be signs of impending tribulation.

And he promised he would never flood the earth again, god did not use the drought to punish jacob he used it to get him to go

the Next time God punishes the earth we will know it, it will be called the time of Gods wrath.

what we are seeing now I believe is birth pangs, not punishment, we are seeing the results of mankind trying to run the earth and his life, ie, we reap what we sow..

Yep the new rainbow movement is nothing more than a hijacking of the covenant in Genesis 9 https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Genesis 9&version=KJV and it should be pointed out to them that they cannot hijack the covenant(use our sign) and that at the time it was made all four couples were men married to women. The wrath of God will not come and be poured out on those who worship the image or receive the mark or the number of his name until after the image, mark and name come.

In 2 Peter chapter 3 it speaks of this, recalling that God destroyed the world of man with a flood, and pointing out that God does not want anyone to perish but all to come to repentance. God will establish a new heavens and a new earth for the saints. This earth will be destroyed by fire.

2 Peter 3: 10 For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each of us may receive what is due us for the things done while in the body, whether good or bad.

Completely disagree. Go back and re-read what Jesus said about people's belief systems on God punishing people for sin

Although you have received a lot of negative responses on your o p here I firmly agree on your assessment.
We have entered into the times of sorrows.
As the world describes it as climate change it is to hide the truth of the birth pangs (signs of the times) that jesus said would happen to announce the beginning of the end of the age.
As a watchmen I find it very hard to think this is just a phase.

We have before us a world wide pandemic. Which has effected the whole world with not only sickness and death but also created economic struggles. With government ruling over the people.
Causing anxiety, depression, and fear.

Excessive flooding happening throughout the world coming on suddenly, and in a short period of time.
It seems that the month of July of this year (the 7th month) God has determined to give warning signs .

Strange weather in areas which are explained but have been never seen before.

Social uprising throughout the world promoting lawlessness, pride, and the fight against God's natural order. And the fight of pro choice.

What was once good now called evil. That Which is evil now called good.

The burning of churches and synagogues on the increase.

Church attendance decreasing along with Evangelical churches being closed.

A system being fashioned to place society dependent on the government rather than God.

I can go on to list the sudden radical changes of many more things but my concern is who is ready for the lord's return. Why are so many blind and seemingly unconcerned with what's taken place right before there eyes. What does it take to wake up the bride?

Many here as elsewhere rather debate age old discrepancies in scripture rather than discern the signs of the times.
The Lord is moving and the time of the gentiles and the age of grace is beginning to come to its end.
Unless the Lord permits a revival and allows his grace to continue these things will increase rapidly.
Unless his people pray and repent and do those things that the Lord commands and ask there will be a judgement that has never been seen before.

I have found much comfort and instructions in these 2 verses in Isaiah 8: 12 -13.

Was not the punishment for sin and unbelief punished on the cross?
Jesus paid the price and took our punishment on himself.

Jesus said he had to go back to the Father so that the holy spirit must come to convict the world of its sin and that sin was unbelief in him.

I don't see what is happening now is Gods punishment.
Jesus told what to look out for in Mark 13 concerning end times.
Does this relate to what you are saying?
If so then it's not punishment for sin.
If not can you quote where Jesus said it is?

You say you believe it is.
Yes we find in the OT that such catastrophic events were judgement of sin.
But does this carry over to the NT after the death and resurrection of Jesus?

So I disagree with your premise that it's punishment but it's happening because of sin from the minute it happened in the garden of Eden and God will call time and the nation's will be judged and be punished.

Yes. It is definitely not God's blessing. Things have been getting progressively worse ever since Adam's bungle.

Luke 21:28 And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh.

Is God punishing the world itself or just the inhabitants?
Romans
8:18 For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time [are] not worthy [to be compared] with the glory which shall be revealed in us.
8:19 For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God.
8:20 For the creature was made subject to vanity, not willingly, but by reason of him who hath subjected [the same] in hope,
8:21 Because the creature itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God.
8:22 For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now.

Fortunately, The Spirit can give us joy despite adverse circumstances.

Luke
21:25 And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring;
21:26 Men's hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken.
21:27 And then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory.
21:28 And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh.

Hey.. its not GOD punishing the world. See Satan comes to kill steal and destroy. Once OT He told Israel if you do the same things (sins) as those other nations do the earth will spit you out also "lest the land vomit you out also when you defile it, as it vomited out the nations that were before you."

See this world reacts to SIN and Christ told us these things will happen before the end. I was watching this preacher talking about globle warming.. you know how some today say 11 years or so left lol. So they show this video where from Star Trek SPOCK was talking about this storm that nothing like it and our kids or grand kids might be living in a ICE AGE! That was 1975.

These are birth pains.. they will only get worse as He gets closer.. keep looking up..
