My thoughts (representing many others' also) on Why Everything Has Gone South on us
Well, i have been following news closely for many years. Every spare minute I got, I would watch Fox News (which I don't any longer, to speak of bc... not happy how they announced AZ for... that creep in the WH rather than Trump, long b4 they had the true results in). I have also been a Christian for many, many years, basically all my life (although I had my "wild" years when younger. Even in those years, I wasn't committing atrocious sins, to speak of, but anyhow..)
So now that you have some background and know that I am not just some emotive knucklehead who likes to spoutate opinions right and left without having much information or facts...
This is what I say is what has gone haywire in the US (why, that is):
Christians and other conservatives are largely to blame. I think a lot of "Christians" think that we are supposed to let evil go... turn the other cheek.. Well, yes, Jesus did say that but I heard (or read) someone explain that psg once and it is not as simple as it first appears. The problem is, I can't say any more about that bc my memory is not serving me well at this moment...
But what I know all too well is how I think and feel RE current events in this once-Christian nation.
We are not that anymore... which is VERY sad, to say the least
When are people going to realize that Christian ideals are a very good thing to live by even if/when you are not a Christian? I dare say some "liberals" (the everyday kind) would agree, some whole-heartedly.
And even weak Christians are better (to "rule") than... non- Christians.
Now we have unbelievers ruling over us... telling us to murder our children so we can "live the good life" unencumbered by... by what? Love?
If you think these baby killers will respect YOUR life, you are sadly mistaken
And so we are back to how Christians have not done enough... to stop the country from being lost... That being said, though... I am not sure they could have done much...? (vis a vis the entrenched corruption in DC)
sigh... things are complicated.
But one thing sticks out in my mind: How Christians (some) just want a kumbaya kind of Christianity, where we "love everyone" (whatever that means exactly...) and don't make waves in society. Yes, making waves causes one to suffer (lose this, lose that... etc). But now we have lost everything... (OK, virtually everything... not Jesus, of course)
sheez...
Christians need to remember such psgs in the Word as
the one where Jesus said that He came not to bring peace but a sword... division, not unity (though His Church is united in Him but that is the only unity to be found on this miserable planet)
